Truth. This is sadly something you learn after landing your first job, not before.
My eye opening moment was seeing the technical guy at the interview light up when I said I’m open to learning their domain knowledge. I didn’t have a degree, but I made up for it by showing interest in the field by doing my own projects, as a hobby. I was the only guy in the department without a degree for a long time.
First job hunt took a while, second and third was basically on the spot, first application sent.

  • You’re installing a headless system right? Ubuntu and Debian are going to have very similar if not downright identical day to day operating procedures, including installing and setting up new things. Ubuntu is going to have software packages coming from a different repository and they may be newer (though this rarely matters) and the initial install may be different. One is backed by a for profit corporation and one by a large open source community. Whenever you need help, guides for Debian will probably work on Ubuntu and vice versa.

For home self hosting use, it boils down to you own philosophy. In practice, it won’t really matter… they’re both really similar.

    I proudly use Debian BTW.

  • They often do criticize these movies based on what the movie is trying to say. They’re not comparing them to movies in other genres.
Superhero movies are often formulaic, predictable, overly rely on CGI, have shallow stories and plots. Logan, The Dark Knight, Spider Verse etc. were praised by critics for not committing the same mistakes other super hero movies do. The criticisms describe what kept the movie back from being a truly great super hero movie, not what kept it back from being Citizen Kane.
And even after all that, they’re still subjective opinions. You don’t have to agree with them on what a better super hero movie looks like.

Orban lost because everyone went out and voted for the other party. If you watch interviews of voters, a lot of them said they don’t agree on everything with who they are voting for, but it must be done to progress away from the Orban era.
Democracy is a slow process, and sometimes, voting for the lesser of two evils is the only choice you have. It opens the door for better candidates in the next elections to come.
Or, you know… you can do an armed revolution. But lately, they don’t bring the change everyone hopes for.
