If there is one overriding lesson from the trump era, it’s that i have severely overestimated the intelligence and empathy of my fellow Americans.
I always thought of myself as a bitter and cynical person. But it turns out I was giving humanity way more credit than it deserves. How annoying.

I’m appalled at how little of the critical thinking and cynicism of Gen X rubbed off on their Gen Z/A kids.
Don’t sell yourself short; this is the proper attitude to have.
I’ve been wrestling with that one.
I know I’m an old fart who thinks kids now a days are idiots.
but i also know that’s what all old people have thought through out history.
On the other hand I’ve read studies that say social media really is making kids stupid.
Either way I’m not impressed with anything going on at the moment. Whether it’s the dimwitted boomers with lead poisoning licking trumps ball, or the latest generation’s plastic and social media poisoned brains.
