The richness of colors are lost in this version, which is understandable.
The Art Institute of Chicago’s digital version is significantly more rich and that makes the painting better, in my opinion.

I would be interested in knowing if it was as rich in person or if it has faded, or was over-saturated in the Art Institute’s version, or something.

I think it’s over-saturation. In person it’s very bright with more muted colors, as in my pic.
It’s like the artist had heard of things like “body”, “face”, and “hands” but only secondhand, and tried to paint them anyway.
Had the artist name and date not been provided I would have said it was AI.
Slightly disturbing, honestly. Especially the ass and legs. Minor note why is left holding the cigar that way?
