It also means nothing. “Slam” in this context is at least something tangible. “Slam” in another context could be a critical post on Twitter.

I lose all respect for any source that uses that damn word anymore
Slam, blast, etc. It’s gotten REALLY old and stupid. It also means nothing. “Slam” in this context is at least something tangible. “Slam” in another context could be a critical post on Twitter.
