That’s why Fred and Barney didn’t wear pants!

“Trump flops down”

We have a decent movie theater only a few minutes from my house. Their ticket prices aren’t terrible, but their concession prices are just as ridiculous as anywhere I have seen.
They do have recliners for seats and every experience has been fun, but pricey. I only and just for big highly visual movies every year or two at most, because the cost is just not worth it even for the solidly positive experience. Heck, I even passed on a few movies that probably would have been better in the theater because I just didn’t try hard to make it before they left.
A movie like the Sixth Sense is actually harmed by it because the film itself is so good that knowing the secret from the beginning makes the story 100 times more compelling.
Hard disagree. Both not knowing and knowing are comparable compelling, but different experiences.
If they used the colors for the series of words and started from the top left it would be. Right now it is terrible.

Yeah, I have enjoyed all the ages so far for different reasons but it has basically been the same for the last couple of decades other than whatever I have going on at the time. Like getting married, having a kid, changes in work and the rest were all big and important life changing things, but it has been a mix of mostly good and a little bad for almost 5 decades and I’m good with that.

They ditn’t miss it. That is the ‘will make shit up to please you’ part.
If they are physically active, yes.

A few of her examples are objectively unfun, she just extrapolates those out to everything because she apparently can’t understand the nuance between playing a game for fun and being competitive.
They are about $8 for roughly 2 lbs at about 1000 calories a lb if you eat the skin and all the meat.
That would be completely reasonable as a large meal as it is about half the daily calories for an average sized male teenager, especially if they are very active.

It might be different depending on when you get diagnosed. For me getting diagnosed in my 30s it was like seeing my entire life experience validated and that came with things I could do to mitigate the downsides.

We are also entitled to ridicule her for her shitty opinion.

This is also true in person. Unless the setting is one where everyone involved is intentionally trying to expose themselves to new ideas they will ignore any new information they don’t want to hear.
If a movie can be spoiled by revealing a plot twist, it’s not a good movie.
If a movie can be ruined by knowing the plot twist then it is not a good movie. Not knowing a twist can improve the experience of the movie because it has more of an impact when it is unexpected. Also knowing if someone does or does not die in a movie really affects any tension the first time watching, which can make a lot of tense scenes meaningless the first time through.
For example, the Sixth Sense is great if the plot twist isn’t spoiled because the first time you watch it with one context up until the twist and a rewatch gives you another while you see all the signs of the twist. It is still a good movie even if it is spoiled by knowing the plot twist, but the experience is different.
Apparently people can’t read Latin anymore.

About fucking time.
Should have done so on day one.
