WoW was a more polished MMO on release. We’d had plenty before it, but it was the first to have so many quests integrated and dungeons that had some scripts to make things more interesting.
Plus it had Blizzards reputation behind it which was at its peak back then along with the already developed Warcraft world. No surprise it took off with all that.
Still worthwhile for older posts. Limit responses to 3+ years old and they’re pretty good
Zojirushi is legitimately great. Heritage steel also makes good quality pans at reasonable prices.
The list is too big to know everything, but I did find Thursday boots an odd inclusion because there was talk of them cutting corners on their materials.

Cargo bikes are awesome. Plus they hold value pretty well so you can resell them when your kids get to big. I’m the third owner of a cargo bike and it’s been great.

As far as laptops go, exactly which company is producing a competitive product to Macs? Like at this point it’s a no brainer, get a cheap Mac for an average user and they get better hardware and don’t have to deal with how bad Windows has become. I’ve even switched grandma over to one after her PC died.
I run Linux for my own stuff but given a choice between a mac or windows for work I’ll take the Mac every time. Even the cheapest Mac beats the typical business laptops. Good screen. Touchpad that doesn’t utterly suck. Better performance.
For online stores that’s true, but the retailer is responsible for anything they sell in the US. There will still be some of that same junk, but a lot of those electronics are filtered out from retail because they aren’t certified.
Take a look at what kind of power strips are available online vs in a hardware store.
USB cables are actually a great example of where finding a brand with a good name does matter. Lots of cheap cables don’t properly follow the spec and then people end up frying their steam deck or other hardware.
It’s not so bad for data transfer but a real issue when you’re using them for supplying more power for computers or other expensive devices.
Travelpro is definitely more poorly built. Briggs is for folks who travel all the time and will take advantage of the many free repairs.
Unless you travel half the year, Briggs probably isn’t worth the extra cost.
A lot of us still have old plans with free upgrades. Some great grandfathered T-Mobile and sprint plans out there.
Can even maximize gains by buying a used low end phone for the trade in and sell the old iPhone on eBay.
Report them to the department of labor. They owe you pay and if they did it to you they’re doing it to others too.
Yeah fixing that one problem isn’t an issue. It’s that the fix probably affects some other service. When you’re dealing with a bunch of integrated systems, some of which are over a decade old, bugs aren’t just fixing a few lines of code in your part and calling it good.
I’m sure it can be useful for smaller self contained projects. A lot cheaper and easier to review the AIs changes on those too.
For my projects, finding the cause of a bug is rarely a problem once it’s reported. It’s fixing it in a way that doesn’t negatively impact things upstream or downstream that’s a pain.
How’s AI supposed to help when we’ve got to negotiate with several other stakeholders on what changes we’re going to make?

Yeah aside from the mounts this looked like some generic unreal engine demo using generic assets.They’d be better off just showing the logo until they have some actual content to show.
Kinda par for the course for guild wars PR though. GW2 had some weirdly bad promo videos.

In my experience, most people on windows don’t go into settings and mess around on their own. They ask for help or live with it. The amount actually investigating and fixing problems is low even on iOS.
