the regexes are insultingly bad, on top of everything else.

    it should obviously be ^(?:[Ww]holesome)?[Yy]uri

Bold of you to assume that someone with enough time to compile such a massive list has any useful skill. Whoever made that list is the embodiment of “touch grass”

Perhaps their regex engine is insultingly bad. But I assume they would use the basic js/ts which is not that bad.

Some croak on just about anything except basic matching, look ahead, look behind, no capture groups, etc… pfft. Too advanced

if it doesn’t have the recursion operator it’s an inferior regex flavour

I always just use (?i) at the beginning of everything I don’t care about case for. Is that inadvisable compared to this?

It’s easy, if you’re on windows just hit the window key and type “regedit”. It will ask if you’re sure, just say yes bc you want to learn.

After that just start clicking on things and changing values to see what happens. Learn by doing. You got this!

I just sort of assume most people will end up coming to that conclusion on their own once they see all the nonsense and gibberish it’s full of. You can save thousands of bytes of hard drive space clearing all that crap out, and with the price of drives these days it’s kind of crazy not to.

Almost as badly as human rights activists ruined it.

The Fediverse should be censored exactly the way Reddit is. We don’t need politics on the internet, and we can’t trust people to make the right decisions so we must make it for them. I am very smart. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
