The inability to add the account to a standard email client is why I stopped using them. Electron Mail exists now, which is an improvement, but I still have to download each email and import them into my client.

I'm older than you and unmarried, no kids, renting. I don't feel like a kid, though. I feel old. I understand being scared of retiring without enough, but if you can find a small house in good condition at a reasonable price, I think it would be okay to take on a mortgage with as much as you've saved. You shouldn't ask your dad for financial help, though, IMO. Money complicates relationships. Don't add feeling beholden to feeling unloved.

I'm more familiar with AppArmor, and my distro's forum gives the impression that switching involves a lot of configuration to get things working as expected....which, AppArmor did too, but I've done that already. Next time I install, I might try SELinux.
