  • I don't know about you but there's more incest jokes in that show than I have encountered in the whole rest of my life put together. Like multiple whole plots of episodes about incesty concepts and lots of incidental jokes. All basically portrayed in a positive and accepting manner. Awkwardness yes, but similar in tone to awkwardness about masturbation or any other topic. And I know people who allow their 12 year olds to watch this, I don't think they know what they content is. I mean, I hope not.

Maybe I'm just old enough that "I know what sex is" doesn't seem like a good premise anymore. It feels like that show was made in a lab to discredit lgbtq+ people honestly. I'm surprised I've never heard of more pushback about it. But maybe right wing people like some of the themes (see above) so that keeps em peaceful on it.

These Kroll guys deserve mucho attention that they don't get. Like to look at what they are doing, to whom, for whom etc.

  • Rajiv Menon KC, who was acting for the defence, is due to stand trial next week, accused of breaching the judge’s directions in the trial of six people for a direct action protest at an arms factory of the Israeli subsidiary Elbit Systems UK in Filton, near Bristol, in 2024.

    ...

Nicklin’s court order initiating contempt proceedings said Menon was alleged to have deliberately breached Johnson’s rulings and directions “knowing that his conduct would create, or was capable of creating, a real risk of impeding the administration of justice.

“It is further alleged that, in the same speech to the jury, the respondent made statements which were capable of suggesting to the jury that the court was not impartial, in that he referred to the defendants being prevented from giving evidence about Elbit Systems, and later referred to Elbit Systems being ‘protected’ and ‘wined and dined in the corridors of power’.

“Those statements were capable of creating the impression that the defendants had been treated unfairly and that Elbit Systems had been improperly protected in the proceedings.”

  • What kind of job is it where people are just casually talking about hand jobs? At the very least, taken out if any context, a workplace where chit chat about who made whom come and by what means is normalized is likely also one where sexual harassment is completely acceptable.

I'm sure the point of the conversation was to reinforce the idea of power differential between their club and all others. Going to a business like that when you have just attended on police matters and they will recognize you is an inherent threat and the subtext is that an abusive relationship will be established or reinforced.

Imagine if a school teacher wraps up a parent teacher meeting by enquiring on matters in which the parent is in business. E.g. you have gone to see the teacher because your child is having a difficult time and the teacher immediately starts asking how much you would charge for graphic design or landscaping or if you'll loan them money. Your business need not be illegal and there need not be anything intrinsically dicey about the transaction, but the context in which it takes place renders it unethical. And my example is significantly toned down, without any violence or anything.

I use this app Tracker Control https://github.com/TrackerControl/tracker-control-android to decide what gets internet access. I dont know if it is available on the regular Play apps store.

This or Amy other method will likely render you unable to find your device if lost. So of you still want that feature, you'll need an alternative implementation.

  • I remember once watching a woman describe how she visited her dads job and she thought it was so magical because the asbestos in the air caught the light and the whole place sparkled so beautifully. Like being in a snowglobe. He died suffering horribly of lung disease and she also had problems because of the 2nd hand asbestos he would bring home on his clothes.

Nick Kroll, comedian and general media guy, is the son of Jules Kroll, a "corporate espionage" "entrepreneur" who as recently as 2012 (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/dec/08/k2-corporate-spy-infiltrated-anti-asbestos-campaign-court-told) employed people to spy on anti aspestos activists and disrupt their work on behalf of the international ruling class. Nick Kroll has depicted his father in the very weird teen oriented sex cartoon Big Mouth where he is constantly referring to being jealous about the large size of his dads testicles.

One of my cats got to like certain boxes when he was a kitten and spent the whole rest of his life trying to make it work despite being very large. Overflowing out of mandarin crates and getting his head stuck in cookie boxes he used to fit completely into.

Another of my cats really liked to wrap himself around a specific leg of a specific table.
