In this thesis, we explore the generation and transport of equal-spin triplets in micrometer-sized disks made of a trilayer of Cu, Co and Nb. The shape anisotropy causes a non-uniform magnetic texture in the Co. The magnetic texture is equivalent to spin-orbit-coupling and generates equal-spin triplets from singlets. We extend previous experiments by forcing the triplets through a Cu layer, which allows us to study the associated length scale for this transport. Our results indicate that the associated length scale is the spin-diffusion length. Similar to previous experiments, we find that the currents are confined to the rims of the disk. This peculiarity is not fully understood yet, and we present an outlook for future theoretical and experimental investigations focusing on the (inverse) spin Hall effect.
