The BetterX-Firefox extension monitors and records web metrics on all android firefox activity in json formatted log files. The metrics are based on a modified/anonymous version of the HAR Specification.

Contains the extension used in the live data collection phase of the BetterX.org research project.

File Structure (UID_mmddyyyy_filename.json)

• UID (Android Device ID)
• Month Day Year (Daily generated)
• Filename
  • tabs (tracks firefox tab activity)
  • info (firefox version and domains)
  • web (anonymous http traces for all requests)

Contains addons that were used for a user web experience lab study of the BetterX.org research project.

• AutoScroller Automatic scrolling of web pages using device orientation
• BetterXfy* CSS Injection and different hacks on amazon.co.uk
