I set up a field layout for one of my matrix blocks and then decided I didn't want to use tabs for that block. I went into Spoon settings and removed the tabs I'd set up for that block.
Once I'd removed them, the block displayed completely blank -- no fields -- in my entry layout.
I took a look at my project config and found that instead of fieldLayout: null on line 3, it had fieldLayout: 72f6e4ca-d5bf-4a43-a5f8-368ee4b6b964: null.
I was able to fix the problem by manually editing the project config and reapplying. (I didn't try to replicate because I didn't want to have to go fix again, but thought you might want to see this and troubleshoot.)
Running Craft 4.4.15 and Spoon 4.0.4.
