Changes
This release adds more than 3k lines of code into RPGMTranslate, not counting external libraries that I develop.
- From to
rvpacker-txt-rs-libv11.1.0:- Added
genericmodule for general JSON/Marshal file parsing. - Given up on implementing any parallelization. It looks ugly, much harder to maintain, and doesn't give any noticable performance boost.
- Added more debug prints in
processormodule. - Made append reads preserve obsolete entries by default. This can be overridden with
BaseFlags::SkipObsolete. - Fixed general wrong writing of entries because of an off-by-one error when parsing translation files.
- Fixed
MapInfosfilename in code, which has been improperly written asMapinfosand caused problems with case-sensitive filesystems. - Fixed completely non-working writing of maps because logic that's responsible for it wasn't present when... write mode was active.
- Fixed improper processing of maps that contain four digits. For example, previously Map1000 would parse itself as 100th one and replace the actual 100th map.
- Fixed entries from the previous map sometimes being carried to the new one.
- Added logic to preserve top-level comments that are located above ID comments, but don't have any entries below them.
- Added
- We're bringing advanced CAT features to RPGMTranslate. Those include:
- Split settings to sections.
- #6 Made several menus movable, such as tab panel and search menu.
- Added context menus for movable menus that allow to restore their initial position, with potential to possibly add more options.
- Made it easier to select files in batch menu by extending checking area to the label of the checkbox.
- Added resizing to some menus and made them adapt to the width.
- Massively improved checkbox styling.
- Potentially improved error handling.
- Added recent projects menu item, and recent projects now will be displayed at the start screen.
- Fixed font initialization, it now correctly displays in textareas.
- In search panel, added proper escaping of HTML special symbols, such as angled brackets and quotes.
- #11 Added a feature to set line length hint, in characters.
- Changed source text copying behavior to full copy on Ctrl + LMB, and allowed to select it as usual.
- Changed tab panel width so progress bars for each tab display properly.
- Added a context menu to tabs when they're right clicked:
- Added option to explicitly mark tab as complete.
- Added option to batch process the tab.
- Changed language inputs to language selects with fixed languages.
- Added source language auto-detection when launching a project that doesn't have source language set.
- Added a feature to write context for the project and each file individually, either for translation clarity or for better context when using AI.
- When opening a new project, program will allow user to select desired read options, compared to previous approach where program would read files with default options.
- Added option to close the current project in
Filemenu. - Instead of reloading after force/append reads, made the program apply changes on the fly.
- Some other styling changes.
WIP
- Reassignable hotkeys.

- Translation endpoints haven't been tested. We need help with this.
