I can only speak for my city but there was a flock camera for years on a road leading to my house. I pointed it out to someone one day and the next it was gone.

Turns out the mayor had ended the city’s contract and all of the cameras were removed.

Granted, nearby there is a hardware store in another city that has flock cameras on each road through the parking lot.

The customer is implying that it is obvious between a barbie and a hot wheels which is gendered for boys. So instead of saying which toy they want, they are expecting the employee to identify which is for boys. It’s a subtle way of reinforcing gender binary and societal expectations of what is “appropriate” for children to want to play with.
