I saw a headline last night about how building new housing is impacted by a labor shortage. I wonder how that happened. The repercussions are beginning to appear in ways that average people notice. Stupid mother fuckers (the scientific term) are rarely aware of the negative impact they have on those around them. Case-in-point: some lady at a green light just turned her hazards on and sat there blocking traffic for some unknown reason when we were coming home today. She’s way-too checked out to actually think about the people inconvenienced by her behavior or she’d be too horrified by what others thought to do so. I mean, some people are genuinely uncaring about others, but I think the majority don’t think past their own action rather than being sociopaths. They just aren’t thoughtful people.

Yeah… and a majority of the country didn’t want war with Iran or genocide in Gaza. What we want doesn’t matter.

Democratic Party leadership has largely downplayed the idea of impeaching the president should they win in the midterms.

And this might be the key to Socialist and Progressive candidates replicating the New York sweep to (finally) retire old-guard center-right Dems. They want the status quo. The people want something new. I can only hope.
