My first game had someone pause at 2:01. Pauselock is definitely still here, just delayed two minutes.

It’s fake unfortunately, but it’s still kinda funny. I think those pictures/videos are taken with wide angle lens to exaggerate the whole thing but people have said the front row isn’t that bad.

Neat. The results aren’t surprising, it’s still pretty early for NVK to rival the official drivers, but I hope that it’s stable some day. It would be nice to run an Nvidia GPU without random bugs every now and then.

Our local IMAX had one seat available any time soon, and boy what a seat that is. Of course, it was taken soon after.

I often play the pre-release versions so unfortunately there aren’t any servers there. I am interested to know if there are any good ones yet, as last time I checked most servers were pretty unoptimized and buggy.

Saw it a few days ago in theaters and loved it. It’s not literally perfect but it hits in all the right ways. The last hour of the movie blew me away.

I think it’s a mix of reasons, the biggest one obviously being the movie is mediocre. But I think the other big reason is that Supergirl just isn’t a franchise most people care about. People would flock to the cinema for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, maybe even Aquaman because he’s better known. But a story about Superman’s sister running around in space? Ehhhh…

I wouldn’t call $23M low budget lol, especially in the '90s.

In terms of low budget, I saw Obsession recently and it’s a really good example. It was shot for only $750k, and it made back over $450M.

I also want to give a shoutout to Upgrade (2018), made with a budget of 3 million but is a pretty well done sci-fi considering how limited it was.

Seriously, timed blackouts and petitions are just being performative. If someone actually cares, sell your ps5/move to another platform. Nothing else matters. This is like how sports game fans complain every year that the game sucks but are still willing to drop 80 dollars on it.

Yeah it’s an insane take from the article. Steins;Gate is great, but it’s well known that the start is really boring. The story really kicks off like 1/3rd into the season.

Great interview as always, I’m glad this device is living up to the insane hype from when it got announced. Everyone looked at this thing and immediately decided it’s the best 4:3 handheld ever. And it seems to be just that. The fact that it can perfectly emulate PS2 at 2x resolution on low power settings is wild. I would’ve been frothing at the mouth to get this if I were younger.

Side note: I’ve never been a fan of transparent shells (kind of heresy in this hobby, I know), but I’m really liking the look of these frosted transparent ones. Clear purple looks like it could go hard.

I loved it. I can see why some people wouldn’t like it, The Odyssey as a story has always been a little disjointed and a lot of running away from A to B, but I think it was an incredible theater experience and a really good take on “What if Odysseus was actually guilty of his heroics”. @khrux@ttrpg.network did a breakdown I pretty much agree with so I’m not going to repeat the same comment, but I’ll just add some random impressions:

• It was so funny seeing Agamemnon aura farm the entire movie only to die a quick and unsatisfying death.
• Interesting that they completely cut the iconic part of the story where Odysseus tricks Cyclops and says he’s nobody.
• Circe is horrifying.
• I’ve seen some people online say the movie is sometimes slow paced/boring which is insane to me. If anything, the movie was really fast paced and some scenes didn’t leave us time to breathe - which makes total sense because the movie is already really long. But someone saying it was slow? Crazy.
• My only real complaint is the casting, it’s bothering me how many actors I recognize and it took me out a little. ESPECIALLY Jon Bernthal, he plays the exact same character every time and I just can’t help but look at him and think “what’s The Punisher doing here?”

The sequel is waaaaaaay better by the way, I would play that if you only had the time to try one.

This feels like something you’d see in a parody making fun of hollywood movies. A Christmas Carol prequel, really?

Order of Ecclesia is a great one, I played that also as part of the dominus collection a while ago! It gets easier as you go along.

I’m making my way through the modern Castlevania games, currently playing through the GBA games.

• I replayed Symphony of the Night, still an incredible game
• I finished Curse of the Moon for the first time. It’s very weird and one of the weakest in the series imo. Might make a post about it in this community because I have a lot to say about it.
• Making my way through Harmony of Dissonance, way better than CotM in almost every way. That said, it’s very easy. Maybe the easiest in the franchise I played so far.
