Imagine if behind-the-scenes they were and the rise of AI was actually fuelling itself? A most disturbing prospect
You wake up in your AI bed, eat your AI breakfast, drive your AI car, work at your AI job, go on your AI lunch break, and then get fired and replaced by a 11 year old Chinese child.
I saw a Claude log on a screen share yesterday where the dude was seriously using Claude to add two numbers together. This and things much stupider than this have been happening the whole time.
That does not thrill me with confidence for this or any future generation
Hmmm… I use google to do math all the time. It’s kinda nice, you can put units in and put the results in in the correct units.

Dude there wasn’t any units. This was seriously something you could type into a python repl, an excel cell, or even windows calculator.

It’s not just plausible; it’s 100% happening. I’ve seen it with our CEO, with my own eyes. I’ve seen it reported by other C-Staff in other companies. I’ve seen CEO’s directly requote chatbot results.
It’s not a stretch. They’ve had yes men for decades. AI is the ultimate Yes Man, focus on getting you what you ask for, minimize negativity, ignore the skeletons you’re creating.
I’ve seen the CTO of my company straight up use Claude to respond to slack messages.
Yeah, it’s crazy how all of a sudden people who never used an EM dash or even a fucking semi-colon before now have them everywhere.
But it takes a CEO to leave the emoji bullet points in and pass it off as their own.
Possibility? I thought we knew this was happening for real?

if i came up with the idea for the first internet payment processor, it doesn’t mean i know jack fucking shit about anything else in life–it just means i had a good idea; it means i was in the right place at the right time; i was there with the right amount of cash to take advantage of the situation.
i don’t care about your opinions on the environment or history or the future of mankind any more than i do the ones coming from the fingers of every know-nothing on social media.
the biggest question is: who the fuck made these people god, or at least the architects of the future, of humanity? did we have a vote on it?

Possibility? I think it’d be easier to point out which CEOs weren’t making AI decisions based on discussions with chatbots.
Altman has literally said his plan to become profitable is to build a chatbot good enough and then ask it. And that he can’t imagine being a parent without relying on chatgpt for everything
