The intersection of Gertrude, Stamp and Roger continues to be Port Alberni’s most dangerous intersection, and is getting worse.

According to the latest ICBC statistics, there were 24 crashes at that intersection in 2025, up from 17 the year before.

Two-thirds of the MVI’s there resulted in injuries.

The second-most dangerous intersection was Gertrude and Johnston, followed by Johnston and Broughton and 10th and Redford.

According to ICBC, 60% of all vehicle crashes in the province happen at intersections.
