    This is not new, variations of this have been around for 25 years. The main problem of these systems is that they need constant monitoring and maintenance, I’m sure the maintenance part got much much better in the last 20 years though.

    The part I never liked is to use 100% artificial light, unless you’re planing to sell it to the rich for their underground bunkers this makes little sense. All that can be installed in a regular greenhouse and use the artificial light only partially.

    My friend was the production manager (?) for a vertical farm many years ago and I got an awesome tour. Used to be a dream of mine to start one (but now I’m more about that “relax with a personal garden” life)
