Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) remains in the hospital recovering from what he claimed was a fall on June 14 that left him unconscious. While he said he didn't suffer a concussion or break any bones, a bout of mild pneumonia put him out of commission for 46 days so far. It's the main reason that quest...

Me despising this thing aside, anyone with the health problems and age of this scumbag should be retired. We shouldn’t have anyone infirm in the senate for so many reasons.

I mean Mitch McConnell did suck the soul of Lindsay Graham. Which is surprising as I didn’t realize Lindsay Graham had a soul.

“Ailing” is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

At what point is it fraud when a dead body keeps legislating while collecting pay?

Only three more days until he dies.
News websites will be running headlines on August 4th about how he snuck out of bed in the middle of the night, somehow got up six flights of stairs, and then suddenly tumbled down them.

In the future we need to upgrade whatever we’re talking about to the latest and greatest analog even if it has nothing to do with what’s being said (Photoshop → AI generated) — all in the name of appearing “relevant” and “cool” for strangers online.

You’re not crazy, but if people don’t show up for primaries and the rich are funding the candidates, this is what you get. Apathy and ignorance are what got us here.

Hillary and Biden didn’t win their primaries because the vote was rigged. Yeah they tipped the scales but if young people would have gotten off their ass and voted it would have been a landslide. Kamala was a disaster because we allowed Hilary and Biden. This stuff didn’t just happen.

I then get a response like, “what about Obama? He didn’t do shit”

      1. Those people were probably not paying enough attention to the amount of shit the Bush administration left that needed fixing. Obama wasn’t great, but he tried. If the youth voted and elected proper senators and legislators, they can move that branch. Everyone wants a king when they are on the same team.
      2. The entirety of governments can’t be changed overnight. Unless of course, you go violent. So either people need to help and get up and vote or go start a revolution.

Yeah, “real opposition would have called an election” but the people we have in power are the ones put there by the people who showed up to vote. And don’t get caught in the bait and switch line.

Yeah, yeah, elections don’t end fascism, true. But the road to fascism didn’t happen overnight, we let this happen.

I don’t think youre crazy but in this situation, why would the dems want a special election? He will be replaced by another able bodied voting republican. As of now, the Republicans simply lose a vote until midterms.

This is Kentucky, they are not worried about losing the seat. What they should do is just put a dem in his seat and let the courts sort it out, which is exactly what Republicans would do. But ya… Controlled opposition…
