4th of July--Elise's first race!

Bryn and Ruby!!!

The graduated XC team is back!

Running the traditional Main Street Mile before the parade. This time, Elise is running it!

Elise was pretty excited beforehand with lots of smiles. We started and she was running pretty decent. About halfway, she insisted we walk which we did for a little bit. I encouraged her to run some more which she did for a few seconds then stopped again to walk. We did this a few times and eventually she looked right at me and I knew she did NOT want to run anymore! So I told her we would walk. She saw a chair on the side and began walking towards it like she wanted to sit down haha. I told her we had a little more to go until we were done. Eventually we just walked off the route and finished the scenic way haha. I've always wanted to put her in a mile race and today was the day! 

Met up with cousins after to watch the parade and catch up on life.

We hosted a BBQ at our place after and hung out for awhile. Mom and Dad came up which was fun to have them there. Then we "kindly" told everyone to leave because we had gotten invited to Rick's pond party later that day.

Once we got home, it was time to get ready and go to Wolford's for their BBQ dinner with the neighborhood. It's been a hoppin' day but so fun. Maroons, Platts, Richards, Heaps, and Johnsons were all there.

"Life Containers"

I thought it would be fun to start this project...however it would be until September that we actually finish this haha. I had the kids get out their containers that contains their "life's work" in it. We filed and organized them into years. I had bought a label maker but it wasn't working so that's on hold for now. I love watching the kids go through their things though and reminisce about their past. Gosh, what wonderful memories. I'm a sucker for these kinds of things.

Mountain biking! I picked them up at the end. They all loved it!

Bryn wiped out a couple times. Glad she did it and was cool about it.

We drive to Zion’s national park. These boys were hilarious. They kept trying to get all the cars to honk. They also played rock, paper, scissors with the cars as we dropped. It was pretty funny.

More water baseball. We finished Diary of a Wimpy Kid series a couple days. We went out to eat tonight while the kids ate pizza. 
 

St George day 3

Morning swim. I’m surprised how well Bria can swim without any lessons! The boys playing basketball and a water baseball game. 

Bryn running at the Boise meet with Millie and Emma. 

Hike with everyone after lunch. Aaron took the girls back halfway in so we could finish since it was a pretty tricky hike. 

So cool!

Bryn PR’d in both events!!! She was so happy.

Kim West picked Bryn up and took her to the airport where she caught a flight to SLC. Marissa picked her up then they’re going to meet up with us tomorrow.
