Edit: If I understand correctly, you use causality in the physics sense, meaning just that something happens after something else (accounting for the speed of light). It seems that in almost all contexts, the two terms are synonyms.

I’m convinced that Valve must have been waiting for contact from dbrand. Valve probably already decided what their terms would be, but needed dbrand to contact them and not the other way around. Since dbrand failed to do that, they had no choice but to send a C&D.
What I’m hoping is that they start supporting cloud saves for Linux native games, e.g. Silksong. This is something GOG needs to support server-side, and they’d only bother to do that if they have an official Linux client to do the syncing.

I think god comes off as an idiot in a lot of the stories of the bible. And I think it’s exactly the same kind of idiot as the people who let AI run amok in their super important projects/servers with no guardrails and just some instructions of what not to do.
