A fantastic first chapter! Excellent on all fronts, but the presentation is particularly exceptional. A visual feast in all aspects, particularly UI, with some really good QOL features. Will definitely be playing more if more gets released!
sorry for the late reply, i have an M2. at first it tells me the game might not be free of malware, but pretty much anything downloaded on mac makes that message appear so I give it permission to open from privacy and security in system prefs and it opens. However, if I try to open it after this, the best I can describe it is nothing happens at all. Usually the game icon will show up on the bottom bar, and there is some movement, but I don't see the icon. There's no message or anything indicating any issue. it just doesn't open.
this game really shines in its character writing. its a great example of putting a bunch of flawed but well intentioned people with conflicting inner worlds in the same room and thank god for that because if i didnt have a shotthand for this type of student to recall laying around in my brain i would have rent my friend whos currently in law school asunder with my bare hands by now

IT'S SO GOOD! I adore how lovingly everything is put together here, from writing, charas, UI, soundscape, environments, it all feels so deliberate and polished^^
the rest of the comments have already pointed out the visuals and OST, so i'll just tell you to read them. what i don't see pointed out, though, is how elegant the gameplay systems are. it's very ace-attorney esque, but in a way that assumes you are familiar with that system and thus puts its own spin on the classic investigation-trial loop. it's hard to describe without spoiling it , so i'll just highly recommend.
The devs are cooking up something really special here - it's packed to the brim with charm! The character writing is fantastic, the type that gives keen readers a lot to chew on and come back to as the story unfolds. All the stylistic flairs with the ui/art as you play were like nothing else too! This ep was really the gift that kept on giving, I'm obsessed.
I super recommend it to any fans of Phoenix Wright and other VNs - it's a silly story with a lot of heart!

I was genuinely awestruck when I got to the Pitch section at the end Chapter 1 with the music, UI design and writing firing on all cylinders. Its insane what you've managed to squeeze out of Ren'py and Its super inspiring as well!!

Played this game with PS4 controller and had a blast! The story and mystery is lovely. Makes me wonder what the writing room was like! All the character are fun to talk to and I enjoyed the exploration aspect of this game. The world feels realized and so do it's characters. Speaking of realized, the visual style of this game is great! I found it inspiring to see Gyrium's artwork highlighted by maurimo's sleek UI. It's gotten me back in drawing! It's nice to have a game like this where I don't feel overwhelmed by a bunch of talking heads and a expansive location. It's like reading a good book that you can easily pick up through out the day (and have trouble putting down.) Also, I must say I am moved by the writing! It made me feel nice see other 20 somethings struggle with feeling stagnate but still be invested in life. There's a lot of love for living in the story, and that's a wonderful thing to share.

Whodunnit is a slick, stylish detective game with a charming group of characters / suspects, a gorgeous dynamic soundtrack, and an intriguing premise: who has DONE it (it being Howie, our adorable, bubbly protagonist). The UI is absolutely fantastic, and the game's presentation drips with confidence. This first episode has some work to do in establishing the whole cast of characters, make us actually like them, and offer a mystery to solve, and manages it deftly; overall I am super stoked for the next entry, and have to applaud the team on their dazzling entry into the detective VN genre! Awesome work!
really wonderful! fabulous mystery writing, deduction mechanics feel fun and fresh spectacular UI and art! the writing also really touched me... it genuinely improved my day to see mid to late 20-somethings feel frustrated and in some ways compromised in their careers and their output... but still socialising and enjoying their company etc etc. congratulations!!!
Character writing is just as amazing as it was in Ediction. I'm also really impressed at how dynamic the UI and gameplay is despite renpy limitations. Can't wait for more!

Having a good time so far. Game didnt work for me on Steam (black screen, no response) but this version did.
