These are words for a group of people who are watching or listening to the same thing.

Audience is the most commonly used word. An audience can be all in the same place, or watching on TV, the internet, etc.

Viewers are people who are watching or who regularly watch a programme on TV or via the internet.

Listeners are people who are listening or who regularly listen to a radio programme, podcast, etc.

An audience in a theatre can be called a crowd or, especially when the audience is large, a house. Crowd is also used to refer to the people watching a sports game or outdoor event. Crowd and house are usually singular, but can be used with a singular or plural verb in UK English.

You can also use spectators to refer to people watching a sports game or outdoor event.

In UK English, the people at a sports event who support a particular team or player are the supporters. In both US and UK English, these people are also called fans.

Onlookers are people who watch something, usually outside, without planning to.

The people at a religious service are called the congregation.
