These are insane predictions that have no historical or factual basis for why they would happen at the speed you suggest.

The US is one of the biggest exporters of food in the world and while it would definitely change what we eat and when, the idea that the bread runs out anytime soon is actually insane nonsense. 2038, fucking maybe. But in a little over a year? We’d need multiple blights and animal plagues that sweep across the country killing everything, and that’s more of a “global apocalypse” scenario. And yes global warming bad but also, the US has a lot of land and like 90% of it is not in use. There will be places to farm, even if the place changes.

I think a more realistic prediction is like… 2045-2060 and honestly, I’m not sure it’ll matter much.

I would like to add a very simple reason that, is kinda brought up by eveyone here, but just from a personal pov.

Men are raised in a way where they are taught to not believe women.

It’s even sadder because I will say this, and men will read this, and they will say “thats not me, I believe women.” and then will continue going on not realizing they do not believe women.

Its a very subtle thing, its not like their parents say “women can’t be trusted.” Its culture and habit and small differences in the way boys and girls are treated growing up, and who knows what else.

Well no because the other part of this that isnt talked about is… concrete is heavy as fuck, and one ton of concrete is basically nothing size wise. Its more like you have to throw 200lbs of sugar in every truck that arrives at the job site, often with many many trucks.

I’m not a doctor but I don’t recommend it.

There’s like a thousand caveats to this though just as an aside. If someone realizes the concrete is tampered with, they’re probably tossing the whole batch. It’s better to be safe than sorry and they probably don’t have time to wait for the lab report on what got added to the mix without their permission.

Not that I’m recommending that people do this, but if you wanted to fuck up concrete I’d think going for a compound that makes it cure faster would be the way to go. Too fast leads to more heat which leads to fractures in the concrete from the intense heat.

Sugar can slow down the hardening of concrete, but this is too small of a concentration and even if you do increase the concentration it still hardens which (depending on the application) does not ruin it.

When it comes to food I like to think if it “sounds good” to me, its probably because my body is craving minerals and vitamins in that food, so I dont hold back on anything.

For me it’s partly population size, but also like… Culture/global impact i guess? Rio/Sao Paulo are some of the biggest cities in the world, and a part of one of the biggest countries in the world, and they’re both “brand recognizable” names.

Beunos Aires, Toronto, Chicago, Huston, Havana and maybe more in Mexico/South America I can’t think of off the top of my head will round out the top 10ish

I started working out recently. I’ve always been a healthy person, my job is pretty physically demanding and I eat healthy, but I’ve always wanted to go a little bit further and look fit or even fully muscular. (thanks tiktok muscle ladies for the inspiration)

The appearance changes are small so far but I’m surprised just how much better I feel moving around my day to day life. Its very strange in a good way to experience feeling more “in control” of my own body.
