halloween 2013

for the Halloween this year,

Jase and Kellen were dinosaurs and abby was a lady bug.

Jase was not impressed with wearing a costume at all.

I could not get a smile out of him!

 

今年のハローウィーンは

伶君とトモキ君は恐竜、でカレナちゃんはてんとう虫。

トモキ君はコスチュムがいやだった様子。

全然笑ってくれませんでした。

Jase 2 months

Jase is now 2 months old!

he is cooing and smiling here and there.

at the well child check up

he was

 

23.4 in (a little below 75th percentile)

12.2 lbs (a little above 75th percentile)

 

and is growing really well!
 

 

 

ともき君もう２ヶ月になりました。

最近はお話したり笑顔を見せてくれるようになり

すくすくと成長してます。

２ヶ月検診では

 

体重５５３４ｇ

身長５９．４ｃｍ

 

という感じに大きくなってます。

jase was 2 or 3 weeks older than kellen.

Jase Tomoki

 

Wow. 3rd child is finally here.

I am tired from waking up every 3-4 hours at night,

but recovery from having Jase has been pretty easy.

I had my first two kids natural thinking that having a big needle

go into my spine will mess me up some how

or will be so much more painful than actual labor.

 

I was still scared about epidural,

but my husband talked me into getting epidural

or some kind of pain relief for this time.

Since my labor with my previous two has been pretty quick,

I decided to go with the intrathecal and had catheter put in for

epidural in case I started to get feelings back before Jase was born.

 

 Wednesday (21st) morning, I was admitted to the labor and delivery

at around 4 am and was dilated to 5-6 but since anesthesiologist

was not at the hospital, I had to wait for him to come in.

They were saying that he has a conference or something

at 5:30 that morning and when 5 am came around,

I was worried that he might not be able to give me the epidural.

But the anesthesiologist made it and I was PAIN FREE before Jase came.

Yea, I was so wrong about epidural or intrathecal injection!

I will have this if I have another kid.

I could talk and joke around with my husband, nurses and midwife!

After about an hour, Jase was born and everything was great!

 

He was born at 6:13 am

6 lbs 11 oz

20 1/2 in

 

Welcome to the world and to our family Jase!

 

 

 

 

いやぁ、３人目生まれちゃいました。

夜、３－４時間おきに起きるのはつらいです。

でも、今回のお産後の体の回復は早く、良い感じです。

伶君とかれなちゃんのときは麻酔のでかい針が怖いのと

もし何かあったらという恐怖から自然分娩でした。

 

今回は、旦那がどうしてもということで

無痛分娩にしました。

 

８月２１日の朝４時に病院入りしたときは５－６ｃｍでした。

朝早いということで、Anesthesiologist （麻酔のドクター？）が

病院にいないので彼が来るまで１時間待ち。

産まれちゃうんでは？と前に経験した痛みを思い出しながら

どきどきしてました。

でも、５時過ぎには麻酔をうってもらい、

腰から下は何も感じなくなりました。

本当にらくだったぁ！

なんで始めの子から無痛にしなかったんだろう？

麻酔をうったときには７ｃｍになっていて、

６時過ぎにはともき君元気に産まれてくれました！

 ハッピーバースデー！

 

he curled his bottom lip as soon as he was born!

 

産まれてすぐにべそ。

 

 

 

my memory of the next couple of days are blur.

I just can't remember when my kids came over to visit.

I think it was in the afternoon of the day jase was born

but anyhow, zac's grandma was watching kellen and abby

(thank you so much!!) and brought them to the hospital

to meet little brother Jase!

 

ともき君が産まれてからの２日間は何があったか

よく覚えてないのですが、

伶君とかれなちゃんが弟に会いにきました。

（ざっくのおばあちゃんが面倒をみてくれました！）

 

kellen did not want to hold Jase at all!

But Abby was all over him

and wanted to hold him and touch him.

and it's still the same at home.

 

伶君はともき君を抱っこしたがらなかったですが、

かれなちゃんはともき君のそばから離れず、

抱っこしたり触ったり興味いっぱいでした。

家に帰った今も同じです。

 

kellen still doesn't like to hold jase

but has been saying things like

"he is so cute" or "I like Jase!"

and likes to rub Jase's head.

 

伶君はいまだに抱っこしたがりません。

でも、かわいいねぇとか

ともき君大好きとか言ったり、

頭をなでなでしたりしてます。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and  Kellen turned 4!!!!

for his birthday, daddy got him a set of golf clubs!

and look at his form!

maybe he'll be a pro someday?!?

 

そして伶君は４歳になりました！

誕生日にお父さんからゴルフのクラブのセットをプレゼント！

将来はプロゴルファー？！？

she has so many facial expressions that makes me laugh!

4th of july

I know july is almost over,

but wanted to share some pictures from

4th of july this year.

it was fun to spend the evening with family and friends.

 

７月はもうすぐ終わりですが、

アメリカの独立記念日って言うんですかね、

７月４日の写真をアップします！

家族や友達と良い時間をすごせました。

 

 

kids had fun playing with their cousin and fun toys!

 

子供たちはいとこや、おばあちゃんちのおもちゃで

たのしんでました。

怜君はたまにこのようにお兄ちゃんっぽい事をして

私たちを喜ばしてくれます。

 

abby somehow got on this wheel barrel without tipping over

but...

 

カレナちゃんはいつの間にかこの上にバランスよく

のりこんでたのですが・・・

 

ended up falling on the ground trying to get down

and got a nice boo boo on her forehead.

 

降りようとしたときにころんでしまい、

おでこに傷を負いました。

 

and once it was dark, we enjoyed a lot of fireworks!

kellen wasn't so afraid of them this year!

 

暗くなってからは、花火を楽しみました。

今年は怜君怖がらずに楽しんでました！

 

and this is what abby looked like during some of the big fireworks.

lol.

she didn't cry, but I could tell that the sounds were scaring her

because her little body jumped every time those loud sound went off.

 

カレナちゃんは、泣きはしなかったのですが、

こんな顔してました。笑。

大きな音がなるたびにびくびくしてました。

 



タイミング～timing~

I don't know if you struggle with this too,

but I really have a hard time getting everyone to

smile for the camera at the same time!

 

私、写真をとるタイミングによく苦しんでます。

みんないっしょに笑ってくれればいいのに！

gotta catch up a bit

i hate to make my blog entry long, but

i am a procrastinater and end up putting

a ton of pictures in one... sorry.

but anyhow, we decided it was time for

a little family trip to utah to see some barrel racing!

thanks britt and trav for letting us stay with you guys!

it was so much fun!

 

ブログはあまり長くしたくないのですが、

いやぁ、どんどん先延ばしにしてしまい、

写真がたまってしまいました。

ま、とにかく、そろそろ家族旅行しようということで

 ザックのお母さんの馬の競技？

（なんといっていいのかわからない・・・）

を見にユタにいってきました。

ザックのお姉ちゃんのお家にお邪魔して

楽しんできました。

 

 

 

but... it was a little rough on the road.

abby did not like to sit still and cried a lot.

 

でも、車で移動の間は

カレナちゃんご機嫌ななめで

たくさん泣いてました。

 

i thought this one turned out kinda funny.

it looks like abby is trying to get her bottle away from her little cousin.

lol.

しかも、すべり台も一人でぜんぜん平気でした。

and last weekend, we were able to go and help with branding!

 

先週末、おじいちゃんの手伝いにいってきました。

ぜんぜん怖がってませんでした。

怜君はいとこといっぱい遊んで

楽しそうでした。

 

i felt bad for the calves sometimes,

but they gotta be done!

good job to all that helped!

 

子牛さんたちちょっとかわいそうでしたが、

これはしなければいけなかった事。

手伝ってた人たち、お疲れ様です。
