Our first FULL week of summer is upon us! After far too many days of gray clouds and thunderstorms, we couldn't have asked for better weather yesterday! The children and I spent the afternoon at the pool; swimming, reading, and soaking in the sun. Rough life, I know.
As I laid there taking in the scene, I was in awe at what I saw. How did these kids grow up so fast? Where did my babies go? No more arm floaties, swim diapers, vests, or intense paranoia that a little one is wandering too close to the edge of the pool? Really? This is where I am at in this parenting spectrum? Bizarre.
We spent the evening together visiting our old stomping grounds and inhaling sugary goodness from the Scera SnoCone Shack. Yummy.
I am striving, ever so striving, to soak up these moments with the children, for they are all too fleeting. How grateful I am to be their mother.
I suppose there isn't anything especially unique about these photos. Pack Meeting comes once a month. The significance to me is how much this here little man LOVES being in Scouts. That's not to say Preston and Luke don't enjoy the program, but Fletcher is PASSIONATE about every little part of it! Whether it's Scouts, Piano, Drawing, Music, SHOOT, even roller skating, I LOVE seeing the PASSION these kids have for life!
I started this blog as a way to help family feel a little bit closer. While we reside in Utah, my family lives over 600 miles away. My posts are pretty journalistic, highlighting simple moments in the life of our family, with the occasional recipe, and a whole lot of rambling. I post a lot. It's a place for me to breathe.
