"Ally" Revisited

The image above will be called "antisemitic" by Zionists. I don't buy it.  Zionists will enforce their version of political correctness for this "offense". Substitute the Israeli flag with "ICE" or a red MAGA hat and the message still resonates. Authoritarian fascist brutality exists under every flag, in every religion, and in every population.

We have some more symptoms of Zionist Fever from my fellow blogger that beg examination. He's an atheist, and I agree with his assessment of the cruelty and authoritarianism that is rampant in fundamentalist political power, especially Muslim and Christian. But he gives the Netanyahu regime a pass for their authoritarian cruelty to Palestinians and theft of their homes and land. He sounds more like a member of Netanyahu's regime. The body count is meaningless to him. It's as if he believes every innocent victim in Gaza and Iran deserves to die because the Israeli government and Trump hate them.

This is a recent sample of his extreme Zionism.

The likely next Democratic senator from Minnesota is an enemy of Israel, but not in the same league as El-Sayed, Mamdani, or Platner.

Bizarre accusations against Jews have historically led to actual persecution -- which makes the current "Gaza genocide" lie all the more alarming.

Notice how he frames it in Zionist terms, "Enemy of Israel" and "Bizarre accusations against Jews".

Zionists will insist anyone who fails to support unconditional military aid to Netanyahu's Israel is an “enemy of Israel”.

This is the mirror equivalent of MAGA fascists declaring peaceful protesters are “terrorists”, the press is the “enemy of the people”, and anyone who opposes Trump “hates America”.

As I noted above, this is what happens if we criticize the Netanyahu regime.

The radical Zionists will conflate it with hate for all Jews and declare the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, and Israeli-born genocide scholar and IDF veteran Omer Bartov are all “liars” and "enemies of Israel".

At least 73,391 Palestinians have been reported killed in the Gaza Strip since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, with 70% being women and children. That’s a lot of innocent blood on the hands of the “good guys”.

Would a rational and objective person and over 174,280 of the Gazan people that have been injured call it genocide?

A quarter of a MILLION dead and wounded in Gaza alone. This excludes the ongoing violent purges in the West Bank and thousands of dead and displaced people in Lebanon.

"Bizarre accusations" my ass!

But what do they know. Zionists and MAGA always have the correct answer.

This is another example of what would be called "antisemitic" by Zionists.

Netanyahu's Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir has control of prisons and the police. If anyone wonders how this thug treats Palestinians you can count on cruelty. The language he uses is identical to what the Nazis said against Jews.

“I think targeted assassinations should be carried out in Gaza, taking down 30 to 40 every night. Not just those who pose an immediate threat — there are people there who are not worthy of life. They shouldn’t live. They’re not even people.”

"They're not even people."

We dare not mention this similarity of this rhetoric and that of the Third Reich.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), an intergovernmental organization with 35 Member Countries, has a "working definition of antisemitism":

Among clearly recognizable cases of actual antisemitism that accuse Jews of being inferior or as a people of crimes and wrongdoing is this gem:

"Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis."

To hell with that. If war criminals Putin, Trump, and Netanyahu act like Nazis, they damn well should be compared to Nazis.

No tyrant or tyrannical regime should ever get such a pass.

"AIPAC isn't about peace. It's about securing U.S. support for whatever the Israeli government wants." -  Jimmy Carter

One Way Ally

Merriam-Webster: Ally

a: a sovereign or state associated with another by treaty or league

b: the Allies : the nations that fought together against Germany in World War I or World War II

2: one that is associated with another as a helper : a person or group that provides assistance and support in an ongoing effort, activity, or struggle

No, the United States does not have a formal mutual defense treaty or alliance with Israel. No, Israel doesn’t financially support the United States. And no, Israel has never been a military ally of the United States.

It’s a “One Way Ally”. Foreign aid has been cut to every other country but Israel.

But we’re always reminded, “Israel has the right to defend itself!”

Okay.

Does apartheid have the right to defend itself?

Does illegal occupation have the right to defend itself?

Does theft of homes and land have the right to defend itself?

Does expanding its borders towards a “Greater Israel” have the right to defend itself?

Does ethnic cleansing have the right to defend itself?

Does genocide have the right to defend itself?

These are different questions with different considerations. Apartheid, occupation, ethnic cleansing, and genocide are bad. Most of the world agrees Israel is guilty of these.

“Greater Israel” is the Zionist version of the Third Reich’s “Lebensraum” expansion.

Zionists will quickly condemn me as “antisemitic” for daring to compare ANYTHING the Israeli radical Right says or does to the Third Reich.

Too often left out of the discussion is, “Do Palestinians have a right to self-defense and the land they lived on”? Or do Palestinians have any rights whatsoever?

Do Zionists have a right to attack me for these questions and observations? Is this included as Israel's right to self-defense? Good questions. I’m willing to let the facts make my case.

I’m sure I would be accused of supporting Hamas if I dare to point to the fact that establishing the ethnoreligious state of Israel was lighting the fuses to the powder kegs of permanent war in the Middle East. Israel has been at war from before its inception. I don’t blame the Jewish people. Ultimately it’s all Hitler’s fault. (This surely won’t stop anyone from calling me antisemitic.) The WWII Allies, minus the Soviet Union, had sympathies for a Jewish state. They were well-intentioned, albeit ill-considered, to serve as compensation for the people who suffered from the Holocaust.

I believe it would have been a better idea to allow the European Jews to move to the United States instead of displacing Arabs in Palestine. (Am I still being antisemitic?”)

That’s all history and we can’t turn back the years. Now the difficulty is finding a way for Israel, its neighbors, and Palestinians to get along with each other. It’s never easy to reach an armistice for ancient tribal religious wars.  The only way I see out of the mess is to convince Muslims and Jews of the fact that religion is their primary problem, despite both being Abrahamic in origin.

It’s the nature of religious conservatives and nationalists to become hostile to people of other faiths. “God told us”, or “God promised us this land”, will ALWAYS be the wrong solution to tribal/religious conflict.

Yet here we are. I’m not just blaming Jews and Muslims, either. American Christian nationalism suffers from the same delusions.

Recently a fellow blogger who strongly dislikes dissent, especially from me, made his case for supporting Trump’s war for Netanyahu. Now he’s no doubt angry at Michigan for voting for Abdul El-Sayed over the Zionist woman who was backed by over $30 million in AIPAC money. Abdul's sin was to agree with the broad international consensus that the Netanyahu Regime was committing ethnic cleansing and genocide. He’s troubled by the Democratic Senate candidate for suggesting support for Israel should be conditional and that our money would be better spent helping Americans. Again, this is antisemitic in Zionist eyes.

I want to address our Zionist blogger's opening remarks at one of his posts.

===

"Vote blue no matter who" is just "my country right or wrong" on the level of a mere political party rather than a nation.  In both cases, applying it without regard to the details of the particular situation could lead to supporting some pretty awful things.

In 1991, when anti-Semite and former KKK "grand wizard" David Duke ran for governor of Louisiana as a Republican, the party repudiated him and major Republican figures such as President Bush vigorously denounced him.  This week, after Abdul El-Sayed won the Democratic Senate nomination in Michigan, prominent Democratic figures rallied around him -- even some like Buttigieg whom I would have expected to know better.  Only a few, such as Fetterman, had the guts to speak out against him.

This may be a sign of the degeneration of politics in general over time.  I'm not at all sure that today's Republicans would repudiate a candidate like David Duke either.

==

I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that this particular fellow blogger would wildly equate Abdul El-Sayed with David Duke.

It shows whether they are Democrats or Christian nationalist Republicans, Zionists will put the interests of Netanyahu and his apartheid Israel over America  (Yes, even Jimmy Carter knew it's apartheid.) Islamophobia is part and parcel of the Zionist creed. See Bill Maher. Our loyal Zionists cheer Trump for joining Netanyahu's war on Iran.

(Never mind the rising costs for struggling Americans. Just for this war, the average household has paid over $600 in higher gas and food costs. It is certain to cost much more. But hey, we don't mind having less money for healthcare, just to help Israelis have their universal care while they slaughter tens of thousands and deprive millions of people of their homes.)

If we don't like it, we're Islamic terrorist lovers to Zionists, I'm sure.

American Zionists are quite tolerant of illegal settlers murdering West Bank Palestinians and taking their homes.

And so what if IDF forces shoot kids and medics in the head and bomb aid convoys and workers?

Israel’s attack on April 1 on the World Central Kitchen convoy, which killed seven workers, far from being an isolated “mistake,” is just one of at least eight incidents that Human Rights Watch identified in which aid organizations and UN agencies had communicated with Israeli authorities the GPS coordinates of an aid convoy or premises and yet Israeli forces attacked the convoy or shelter without any warning.

Ethnic cleansing and genocide are cool when Israel does it. Just call it “self-defense”.

A UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. (Zionists HATE the UN.)

International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS): The world’s largest professional organization of genocide scholars passed a formal resolution stating that Israel's conduct in Gaza meets the legal threshold for genocide.

Human rights groups: Prominent organizations such as B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights Israel, alongside international groups like Amnesty International and Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders have published reports concluding that Israeli policies in Gaza constitute genocide.

Radical American Zionists believe they understand what's going on better than this person:

Israeli-born genocide scholar and IDF veteran Omer Bartov explains why incitement, displacement and the destruction of civilian life can meet the legal bar for genocide, even without gas chambers or shooting pits.

And Fetterman?? He may have guts, but his brain isn't operating at full capacity. Naturally, he gravitates to FOX(R) for attention.

He gets it. He knows everyone critical of Israel is a raging Jihadist, salivating to impose Sharia law in the US.

Now Democratic Zionists all but prefer the Senate remaining in Trump's hands rather than having a Muslim as a member. El-Sayed's opponent will be the Zionist Republican Mike Rogers.

I don't think I'm going out on a limb to say MAGA and Zionism make a toxic mix.

Zionist Republican senators sent a threatening letter to the International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor: “Oppose Israel and we will go after your family — You have been warned".

As if we didn't already have enough evidence that Trump and his party are mobsters.

THAT should teach us a lesson. Serve Israel and support the Criminal Trump Cartel, or else...

PSA on DSA

"Call it democracy, or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all God's children." —Martin Luther King, Jr.

Democratic Socialists of America National Co-Chair Megan Romer went on FOX (R) to feed into their latest red scare campaign and communist hysteria. Of course, anything this foolish woman said would be used to attack the Democratic Party as “fellow communists”, as our fascist Criminal President does regularly.

I have long favored democratic socialism in the Bernie Sanders vein. In a world of shifting ideology and world views, it would seem the label would now be "social democrat" that reflects European Social Democracy.

Now that the DSA has lost it’s common sense and grounding in reality with their interpretation of democratic socialism, I would call on AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Zohran Mamdani to disavow their ties to that party. The Democratic Party needs to embrace progressive policies that actually help Americans maintain their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We don’t need wackos who welcome communists into their party giving Republicans their excuse to revive McCarthyism and to smear every opponent as a communist. This is exacerbating their hate and fascism, not opposing it.

Yes, I agree with the DSA when they advocate public health and public education, as exemplified in Western Europe. I support higher income and wealth taxes on the ultra-rich. I agree the Electoral College should be eliminated. I support dismantling the criminal and unaccountable rogue ICE agency. They were established 23 years ago with the Department of Homeland Security in reaction to 9-11. We survived over 220 years without them and can do just fine without them.

But come on, when Megan Romer blathered on about having “no borders”, who the hell does she think would go along with that?

Other absurd tenets of the party are delusional and deal breakers for all but the most extreme Left. (I’m not one of them. But I know fascist MAGA dupes will refuse to understand this.)

I’ll mention a few of the DSA policies that only alienate the vast majority of Americans.

“You work as much as you are able and no more than needed.”

That’s Marxism, as in, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need". I may be ABLE to work 80 hours a week, but I sure as hell don’t want to, and glad I don’t have to.

“Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities.”

If this means I can’t go out to my favorite restaurants, forget it! Yes to public education and medicine, but energy and transportation need to be addressed rationally with cooperative utilities management and serious budget considerations.

“Demilitarize police departments, disempower police unions, and redirect funding to public services as steps towards fully abolishing the police and prison system which protects the rich and jails the poor. Treat drug addiction and mental illness as health issues, not crimes. End qualified immunity and empower civilian oversight bodies with real authority over the police.”

They had me at demilitarize police departments, disempower police unions, redirect funding to public services, and ending qualified immunity for rogue ICE agents and violent cops, but sorry, we need public safety and a way to remove violent thugs from society. Look at how Trump praised, pardoned, and wants to PAY his J6 thugs for terrorizing Congress and beating cops bloody in his insurrection. Ironically, Trump is more communist than any Democrat in his freeing and rewarding criminals, and his state acquisition and control of corporations and media.

“For the working class to govern, we need a new political system. End political corruption and legalized bribery: get rid of lobbyists, dark money, and Citizens United, and publicly finance all elections. Abolish the Electoral College. Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress.”

Lofty ideals. How to get there would be the problem. I’m with them up to the last sentence. I still support the founders’ idea of three coequal branches of government for checks and balances. Yeah, that’s totally a fiction now, but salvageable if we bury MAGA and get sane people in office.

Anyway, the bottom line is the DSA is essentially a destabilizing movement in so many ways. All we need is for the Democratic Party to embrace its progressive ideals of civil rights, voter rights, and an economy that benefits working class and poor Americans.

Again, I return to my embrace of the socialist ideals in our Constitution. We need our fair representation, rights, and civil liberties, along with the taxes, regulation of commerce, and provision for the general welfare in our foundation of law.

Who has a problem with that?

For perspective, Democrats don't vote for communists.

MAGA voters, on the other hand...
