Washington Sea Grant is offering its Skills and Drills course for new or beginning fishermen on September 28-29 in South Bend, Washington. Held for the first time in March 2025, the course is meant for individuals interested in learning the necessary skills to enter the commercial fishing industry.

We are pleased to announce that Aurora Oceguera, Ava Vaughan, Cal Schurman, Chelsea Korbulic, Morgan Dreibelbis, and Sam Soule have been awarded the Washington Sea Grant Coastal Resilience Fellowship for 2026-2028.
The Washington Sea Grant Seattle office moved! You can now find us just up the street from our old location, on the fourth and fifth floors of Condon Hall on the University of Washington campus.
As you enjoy the long days and warm weather out on the water, remember to follow best practices to keep our shared waters clean and healthy for all. Washington Sea Grant provides education and materials to help boaters prevent small oil spills and to pumpout their waste.
