Where Has The Time Gone?

Time flies as we are told; however, where does that time go? Looking over this much neglected blog, I find myself looking at past blog posts and even contemplating the ones lost due to a massive overhaul then feeling really crappy that they are not persevered in some way but that is life. Then my mind turns to, why not resume blogging about the WrittenInEarth that I’ve become. So, I’m going to try to keep up with this blog and start blogging again.

Time flies, where does that time go?

Dusting off the Cobwebs.

Well, I know that I have allowed the dust and cobwebs to gather on this blog. In my defense, I was in grad school plus student interning that now as a state intern in marriage and family therapy, I think it is important for me to have a space to verbalize and formalize my thoughts, beliefs and my ever evolving polytheistic/pagan/folksy/witchy/etc.. path as it evolves.

However, where is Written In Earth now? Well, how does everywhere stand? That is how it has been for awhile. I have plans for this blog, ideas to explore, and; lastly, provide a voice, perhaps, to religions that are underrepresented in the world at large.

Well, let's get moving....

Solomon. Pt III

Tonight as I did my meditation with the incense burning, the candles lit, and music playing; Solomon entered my thoughts. As I sat here in the dark, I could see myself sitting in my meditation pose in Solomon's home. I got the sense I was the more spiritual one than he was. And as I sat there, he sat behind me, his chest on my back and his legs open with his knees bent. He put his head on my right shoulder. For a moment I thought I could hear his breathing in my ear. Being mindful and respectful of my meditation being a form of worship of the gods.

Then as I allowed the 'vision' or whatever it was to carry me away, we were at some festival. Somehow it was a festival of Sun and Moon. I painted Solomon in gold for he was the sun and I was painted in white for I was the moon. On his forehead a red circle with lines radiating outward represented the sun and it's rays. On mine the crescent moon, like horns painted on my forehead. The 'vision' didn't last for long. It drifted away from me slowly but all that remained was Solomon's face. I could see it and kept seeing it. I remember looking up to Solomon because he was taller than I was. Somehow using was to talk about the experience doesn't seem right. It's more in the moment more present than past tense.

For a moment I felt like I wasn't alone. Solomon was here. He was with me. I could again hear his voice and the words were an unknown and forgotten language. Yet I understood what he was saying yet now, I don't remember his words, I just remember him. Wrapping his body around mine as I meditated.

Just when I thought that somehow he wouldn't appear again, and there he was quietly and subtly there in the space between quiet and communion with all that is and all that will be.

Thank you, Solomon, thank you.

Solomon, where are you?

Well, I have not had any visits from Solomon. Even though I still think of him and the dream. Perhaps, I should do some kind of meditation on the whole Solomon affair. Who knows maybe something will come of it.

Solomon: Part II

As I was walking today, as I normally do before I have to start writing my class paper, Solomon popped back into my thoughts again. The more I walked the more some details came back to me, like I can remember the colour of the interior. It was like a burnt orange like colour. It was actually a beautiful colour. As that thought flooded me and then left, a new thought came in to my mind. A place name.

Arisa, an island of Arkadia. How strange I thought. What and where is this 'island'. I still have no idea. I do believe that it has to do with Solomon as the minute that name came and it's 'location' popped into my head, Solomon's name came to me again.

That is all that I have for today as the saga of Solomon continues. I hope to find out more and figure out this story.

I have been trying to find an image of what Solomon may have looked like, or at least something close. This is what I have found that somewhat captures Solomon. It's close, but Solomon was more beautiful than this....
