boston hardcore alive and well

here's a local band in which i have a personal connection; i have known one of these boys since he was just a babe. they spend a lot of time touring in texas and mexico then off they go to europe. proud of my boy-cant tell you which one he is-would have to kill you... =] oh, language warning for any random visitors.

losing

i've loved REM since their begining way back when, but i've had his song in my head for many weeks because of what's going on with me now. it's kind of a sad time really. if you knew the people i've been hanging around with for all these years in my little piece of urbania, you would understand. there's been no abuse of power or mismanagement of money (we run ourselves-no pope or bishops or outside authorities)and we work really hard to help those in need (and we includes many who are far from affluent themselves)in a commmunity that extends way beyond the city lines. my friends include doctors and nurses, scientists, teachers, and students working on their masters degrees. in fact, pursuing higher education is strongly encouraged. no one is coerced in how they should vote, in fact we have so many different political views as a rule we don't even discuss the subject with each other (on sundays anyway;). okay, i wasn't planning on writing all this now but i cannot end without giving an example of how we learn/understand the bible. i'll use john's revelation, NERO, it's all about what was happening with nero then. it might possibly have some prophetic future meaning but probably not. the books in the new testament were for those particular people in that particular time. basically, it is history; what can we can learn from it? and of course, that there is an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient god. one word has begun the breakdown... ineffectual
