I know it has been a long time since I have blogged, and even read any of your blogs. I just feel like I never have a moment to get on the computer, except to check my e-mail. Our life has been a little bit crazy lately. Because of the economy, Heston is working 3 jobs. He works from 8:00 am to 10:30 or 11:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and is home on the weekends. I am not really incredibly busy, but I just am always alone with the kids, and never seem to get a peaceful moment on the computer. I am not complaining though. I really love being home with Areyan and Emrey (most of the time:)).Anyway, that is my excuse for not blogging in a while. Right now I am babysitting the neighbor kids, so my children are occupied enough for me to get on the computer. So I hope you enjoy the updates.

Hogle Zoo
We went to Hogle Zoo on Saturday. I forgot to take my camera of course. Areyan really wanted to ride the train, but when we arrived at the zoo it wasn't running because it had been raining earlier. We went through the whole zoo, and then went back to the train. It was running, because the weather had warmed up. We were standing in line to buy tickets, and they announced that a wheel had fallen off the train, so they would no longer be selling tickets. Areyan was very disappointed. That night when we got home Heston, Areyan, and Emrey made their own train ride. I thought it was pretty cute and snapped a picture

Catching Up

Emrey's 1st birthday was at the end of May. Emrey has really been quite a blessing in all of our lives. She is so happy all the time, and cracks us all up. She is so cute. She is walking. She says, "mama, dada, hi, bye, gogo, nono," and probably something else I have forgotten. She loves to play with her sister. We love her very much. The first picture was Emrey's actual birthday. Heston had to work late, so we didn't have her party until Sunday. Her cake was a barn animal cake. I bought these little barn animal hats for party hats for the kids. They had a blast!

Mackay New Year's Christmas

We went to Heston's parents house in Mackay, Idaho on the 30th to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with his family. We had tons of fun their. We had a little talent show that the kids put on, mostly because Brett & Trudy didn't get to go to Areyan's dance recital, and she wanted to do her dance for them. Taryn wanted to dance with Areyan too, so we let them do that. Trudy also asked each of the boys to do a talent that she knew they were good at. It was pretty cute. After our talent show we opened presents, and were once again spoiled. We were so grateful for how blessed we were at Christmas this year. The Lord really does look out for us! One day we were out there, we hooked the sleds up to the 4-wheelers and went sledding. I thought Areyan would be scared to go behind the 4-wheeler, but she had a blast and kept telling Heston to go faster. On New Year's Eve we played games and visited. It was tons of fun! Thanks for such a good time everyone! It was good to see you all.

Christmas

This year for Christmas we went to my sister's house in Layton, Utah. We headed down on Christmas Eve. We had a delicious dinner, and went and looked at the Christmas lights at the park. We then went back to my sister's house and opened our one Christmas Eve present. It was pajamas for the kids, a new picture book for Heston, and a new game for me. On Christmas morning we had tons of fun opening presents. There was no organized fashion to it, but I think it was better that way. The kids had tons of fun just ripping into their gifts. We were then able to see what everyone had, and play with all the toys. We weren't so exhausted from opening presents. The day after Christmas, we took Areyan sledding for the first time. She loved it, and didn't want to stop. After Sledding, we went home to get ready for our trip to Mackay, Idaho.

Areyan

Areyan is growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday that I was holding her in my arms. I still feel like she is my baby. She is such a big help with her sister. She loves her so much, and can get her laughing more than anyone else can. She is getting smarter each day! The other day we were looking at a toy and there was a big "C" on the box, and she said, "Mom, I want to draw a "C" just like that." I was so proud. I didn't even know she knew what a "C" was. She has a wonderful imagination. Sometimes Heston and I just sit and watch her play. It is very entertaining. She loves dance, and is pretty much a natural at it. Here are some pictures of her first dance recital. She didn't end up dancing on stage, because they did their dance to "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and at the end a hippo came out on stage, and she was terrified of him. I guess she has a little phobia of mascots. She danced down on the floor by us though, and it was pretty cute! She is such a good girl, and we love her very much!

Emrey 6 months

I can't believe Emrey is already 7 months old. She is growing up so fast. She is such a chunk. It is hard to believe she was not growing well for awhile. She is babbling, rolling over, and has her first two teeth. I have started to feed her rice cereal and baby food, but she still spits it out with her tongue quite a bit. Here are a few pictures of her first eating experiences. She is such a joy to have in our home. We love her so much!
