Salt Lake Temple

A friend of Calies sent her this picture of the Salt Lake Temple. I thought it was worth posting. The top one I took from the Zions Bank building, while I was inspecting their carpet.

Calie and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple, 33 years ago in February, hard to imagine she has put up with all these years. I am a very blessed / lucky man. I am still deeply nuts about her.

This week was Canada

This past week was tuff and very cold, I started the week in Vancouver BC, that was not too bad, cool and rainey but a pretty place. Then I went to Winnipeg, Manitoba and it was very cold -22 Centigrade with a windchill down to -37. The windows were frozen on the rental car, so when I went to McDonalds I had to open the door at the drive thru. I thought that was cold until I went to Regina, Saskatchewan. there it was -29 and with the windchill it was -47. The holiday inn downtown used a parking garage that was around the block, I thought I was going to die, it burned my eyes and my lungs. I had the heater on high in the carjust to keep warm. Not a fun place. Saturday thru Tuesday I will be in Portland, and it seems warm compaired to Canada.

Last year: Alaska

On one of my trips to Alaska, I was able to drive out and see Mt. McKinley. It is the tallest mountain in North America. It was very cool and one of the places I always wanted to see.
