Vintage Acupuncture Posters & Dental Molds - New On Etsy!

I've added a bit of Oddities worthy goodness to my Etsy shop lately... Some cool old (and large!) acupuncture posters, and some dental molds that are done in pretty (I guess?) pastel colors...

New goodness on Etsy - medical quackery illustrations!

I scored a really neat set of original illustrations, not prints, that appear to have been done for a book about quack medical practices - I wasn't able to find out the name of the book, or anything about the artist, Merle Ollum, but still, they are pretty damn awesome! Here's a few of my favorites, click on over to check out the rest!

New goodness on eBay and Etsy - MORE school posters!

Yesterday I finally listed the last of the school posters I unearthed a couple of weeks ago. I don't know how many listings total I did - maybe 100? It was a LOT. If you missed my first post about them, you can find it here.

I listed most of them on Etsy, but I put a few in my eBay store as well - I've never listed individual posters there before, and since I had so many of them I thought it would be a good time to try some.

Here are just a few of my favorites, click the links above if you want to check them all out!

New goodness on Etsy - vintage school posters!

So, I dug out a box of paper that I apparently stashed away on a shelf back in 2012. Yes, 2012. When I say my stockpile of paper is never ending, I'm not exaggerating! ;) Anyway, I would say the box was about 80% school posters, which I started to list on Etsy this week. I haven't decided yet what to do with the rest of them, if I will list them individually on Etsy like I did these, or if I will lot them up and put them on eBay. I'm going to get that box emptied out one way or the other though!

There are too many to show them all here, so I'll just post a few examples. First up, I listed 20 different letter posters...

I listed 8 number posters...

And finally, 6 nursery rhyme posters...

New goodness on Etsy - posters, prints, and shooting targets!

Lately I've been working on tackling the backlog of paper items I have to list on Etsy. I've made a bit of a dent, but there is much more to come. Much more. As always. ;)

I found a whole set of these fun vintage cheese posters!

I found a set of these not very politically correct County Cousins prints, I can't help but love them...

I found a nice set of these gorgeous "American Beauties" prints!

I found a set of these Audubon prints, they are big - 14" x 18"!

These Erte illustrations are AMAZING.

1967 Pratt Posters Are Back In My Etsy Shop!!

I honestly thought I might never be able to type that post title - but I just did! After searching long and hard and hither and thither, since I found the last set back in 2011, I finally unearthed another set of the Prattonia 1967 yearbook posters from the Pratt Institute in New York. (If you weren't around back then when I got the first set, head on over and check out my post about it.) Instead of issuing a book style yearbook that year, they created a set of posters - a genius idea, if you ask me!

I sold the two posters illustrated by George Delmerico yesterday (George was the one who was so helpful and kind to me when I found the first set - sadly he passed away last year). The Take Tea And See one is the only one I kept for myself last time, I decided to keep a couple more this time which I will show off here in a minute. First I have to show you George's posters, even though they are sold:

Are they not just perfect? Here is the poster of the yearbook staff, George Delmerico is the one in the back holding the bowler hat:

Another noteworthy contributor to the yearbook that year was the well known artist / photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. He is pictured in the lower right hand corner of this poster for the Graphic Art department:

One of the other posters in the set is a very surreal illustration he did, I don't think this is the one George showed me that Mapplethorpe did as a portrait of him, but it is similar in style for sure:

The two that I chose to keep for myself this time are ones I almost kept last time, but decided to list. I just couldn't let them go a second time!

Nurses handing out pills, and egg grenades. I mean come on, how could I not keep these?!? ;)

I think all the posters are great, of course, but I do have a few other favorites I will highlight here. I have over 40 of them listed in total, if you want to check out the whole collection, just head on over to my Etsy shop - I have a feeling, if this time is anything like last time, that they won't last long!
