Group Photos

Don't mind the order. I know we will get pictures from the actual photographer but I wanted Brig to get a peek of the good stock. The Barry and Risa Udalls are the cream of the crop! (Brig, how many of them can you name? I might be able to beat you!)

Happy Birthday Keegan -- From Cord

It's Keeg's birthday, and we can all see that he is happy to be alive. Glad that he's part of the homo sapien race. And he told me yesterday that his next big goal in life is to meet Eric Young and discuss whether or not to move to "Souvenir City." He also told me that Native Americans are his favorite minority group.

The kids miss you, and can't wait till you get back to Springville . . .

Celebrate!

Here are a few photos from Matt's birthday. Nina had great fun picking out the balloons and decorating the cupcakes. (Those two things are the equivalent of "birthday" in her mind.) Matt also made himself a tiramisu, so there was some good food to be had. We also went and saw a movie. Wahoo! Thanks for making that possible Lindy-lou.

You Are My Sunshine

This post has been edited to reflect the comments.

For Grandma's party, the Barry & Risa Udall grandchildren are going to sing part of "You Are My Sunshine."

We will sing the chorus, the first verse, followed by the chorus one more time with the crowd joining us. Please make sure your kids know it!

Love,
Lindy

CHORUS:
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

You make me happy when skies are grey
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

1ST VERSE:
The other night dear, as I lay sleeping

I dreamed I held you in my arms
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
And I hung my head and cried

(CHORUS)

Two big boys

I love both these photos...
1) Max can't get enough of the solid food (is he a piglet or what?).
(Be sure to check out all the other cute photos on Shayla's blog.)2) Aki's cousin Aisea on his mission in the Philippines...a little like David and Goliath!

Teasdale

This weekend we headed down to Teasdale to celebrate the 4th with Brady & Kate. Cord and Keegan went down on Thursday to go on a hike with Brady and the kids and I followed on Friday. Cord said the first 3/4 of the hike was great because they were in slot canyons and water most of the time. I guess the last part was pretty gruesome -- really rocky and about 110 degrees. But all in all they had a good time.

Our van had been in the shop having the steering fixed so the kids and I packed up the van Friday morning. I wanted to leave at 10:00 so we could be down there for lunch. And I did it! I had all the kids and all our stuff complete with snacks ready to go at 10:00 -- but at luck would have it the car didn't start! I figured out the battery was dead. I know this sounds lame I hadn't ever jumped a car before. But Alli & I found the jumper cables in the garage and hooked the van up to Keegan's car. Then I called Dave our neighbor to check & see if I had it all right --I'm lame I know -- it worked and we made our way with out any problems.

We went to the parade and celebration activities on Saturday in Torrey. Our favorite parts of the parade were the masses of candy the kids got, the camel (random) and the Wayne High School cheerleaders complete with camo WHS shirts and purple shorts.

They make a cute couple don't you think? Later that night we the kids roasted marshmallows and we did fireworks. It really was a great day. Thanks Brady & Kate for having us!

We also went on a hike in Capital Reef here are a few photos of us that. Isn't it just beautiful? We love to got there. We used to camp there all the time but now that Brady & Kate have a house there we get to sleep in a bed and take a shower!

We had such a good time hanging out as a family and enjoying beautiful Utah!

The 4th

We have had a great time celebrating in Eagar and Taylor. Several of you may recognize Pres. Day's swing float which By used in the parade to promote his election for County Attorney. (He is "George Strait" in the cowboy hat. Aunt Karma was walking on the other side handing out flyers - in flip-flops! Amazing)
We had the firing of the anvil and program in Taylor. Gma Nola had bought some "illegal" fireworks in New Mexico which were AWESOME.
We are so blessed to live in this nation. God bless the USA!
