Someone is over the moon excited about her new-to-her bike.

Thank you Smiths!
& thank you tree lawn!

Have you heard about this?

It's snowing.

Argh.

So it's been an indoors kind of day full of painting and doing crafts. I went upstairs to grab something. I was literally gone for 15 seconds and came down to this:
Paint water spilled.
Crown soaked.
Drippy spit up.
I had to laugh.

After a wipe of the table,
a rinse and blow dry of the crown,
a scrub-a-dub of the babe,
we were back in business.

Birthday present crown and skirt completed.
{Not bad for $2.44 Wal-Mart fabric!}

When I was loading pictures on the computer, I came upon this gem:

Gotta love moments captured by your {somewhat exhausting} 3-year-old.

Our week in Boston

We spent a fabulous week in Boston. Fabulous weather. Fabulous friends. Fabulous food. Seriously couldn't have asked for a more relaxing getaway.

{Sadly, I didn't take very many pictures. Too busy having fun I guess.}

Loved having theses kiddos together again. Just like old times.

And loved having these little gals meet. They are only 8 days apart!

The girls were great car travelers. Mckinlay can now sing "Sweet Caroline" by heart and Eliza has earned herself the golden traveler award for sleeping the entire way to and from (well, except for the last 2 hours on the trip home. But even her cry is pathetically cute.)
And we {heart} Boston.
So much.
**Speaking of things we {heart} my Dad is doing well. He was sent home from the hospital last week and is now home recovering. He made it up the stairs to his bedroom, and for those of you who have been up those stairs, know that is quite the accomplishment. {We're so proud Daddy!!} He goes to the hospital daily for physical therapy and slowly but surely will get his strength and energy back. Thanks for all the love and prayers.**

Art's Heart

Surgery went well. He is still in the ICU and will be for a few more days {at least} while they closely monitor his kidney and his heart. He may need to get a pacemaker, I want to stay "installed", but not sure if that is the right word in this case, and we're still unsure if his one functioning kidney will get back to pre-surgery function. We'll just have to see how things go.

All in all, he is doing well. Bless his heart, {no pun intended} he is really groggy and sore, but given time he's going to be just fine.

We all appreciate your love and prayers. Thanks for being such wonderful friends and family.

We {heart} Art!

My Daddy is having heart surgery tomorrow.

This is one of those moments it kills me that we live so far away! How I wish I was going to be there to give him a huge hug before he goes into surgery and to give him a huge {and very gentle} hug when he gets out of surgery.

Daddy, know that we love you so much! Our hearts and prayers are with you, and the girls will be sporting their 'We {heart} Art' shirts, in your honor.

We're counting down the days 'til we see you in May!!
How we love ya!! How we love ya!!

Any given evening...

if you were to peer into our house you'd see something like this:

Eliza chillin' in the Bumbo in her PJs checking out her big sis. Big sis drumming on her glass, the table, her head, her sisters head...with her fork. Her drink about to spill any second. Her "banana phone" is close at hand. The table is set for two, as Ty won't be home for a few more hours. Sewing machine and ironing board are out, along with various craft supplies, because I'm working on some projects....A typical night.

This make me smile.

The only thing that would make this picture completely accurate is if Mckinlay was in her undies. This was one of the rare occasions she got re-dressed post nap.
