"A new survey shows that for the past 30 years, Congress has steadily passed an increasing number of “secret laws”—provisions that are kept from the public eye.
That’s according to an exhaustive study by Dakota Rudesill, an Ohio State professor of law. A former senior national security analyst for the Senate Budget Committee who also worked for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Rudesill notes that more and more bills passed by Congress include provisions that allow for secret elements—which become law without the American people knowing what they contain.
Secret laws often come about because of three enormous budget bills that get renewed every year, which fund some of the government’s most secretive programs and agencies: the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, the Intelligence Authorization Act, and the National Defense Authorization Act. Portions of those bills, which fund classified programs include provisions that “can reasonably be read to give a classified addendum” to U.S. law,as Rudesill found.
The study analyzes changes to U.S. law that come through acts of Congress. A president’s executive order can also shape U.S. law, as can the classified Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which secretly approves, among other things, warrants for NSA spying activities. FISA Court rulings can set hidden legal precedent, as with the post-9/11 “raw take” order, which allowed agents at the NSA, FBI, and CIA to share raw intelligence on Americans with fewer restrictions."
We don't know what they are, we don't even know who is passing them or handing them down. And yet we are expected to follow and be bound by them.
How is that possible?
If they bust you on one of those laws, you say "I didn't know it was illegal" They say, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse"
Here is my question, how are they allowed to KEEP us in ignorance of these laws, if they expect us to follow and obey them?

The 40th Precinct’s official account posted the photo of what appears to be an explosive launcher at 12:36 p.m., along with the message “Great work 40 Anti-Crime1 for an arrest&gun [sic]” and the hashtag “PattersonHouses.”
Uhhh wrong. a used M72 launch tube cannot be reloaded outside of a special armory, it is nothing more than an aluminum and fiberglass tube. And you can buy them at many army surplus stores.
Bunch of idiots! Trying to play on people fears with something that is not only TOTALLY legal for ANYBODY to own. But TOTALLY HARMLESS!!

A Rant I posted on Bookface
Yes all of those are perfectly legal Rifle's. Even the black scary looking one.
It is a Semi-Automatic rifle.
A "Assault" Rifle is a rifle that has the ability to fire fully automatically.
Fully Automatic means that you can pull the trigger and hold it back and it will continue to fire until you either release the trigger or the rifle runs out of ammunition.
The black rifle is a Semi-Automatic. Which means that after firing you have to release the trigger so it can reset, before you can pull the trigger again to fire it again.
And despite what the uninformed people and politicians say, the original AR-15 was designed and built as a CIVILIAN rifle. A rifle made specifically for me and you without any special permit or licenses.
The U.S. Air Force bought the rifle for their use for the Air Police adding the capability to fire on full automatic to it. then the U.S. Army Special Forces tried out the rifle in a little place you might have heard of called Vietnam.
They Special Forces liked the rifle and wanted more. Then Robert McNamera got involved.
Do you know who Robert McNamera is?

And soon the AR-15 became the XM-15 and then the M-16 and then the M-16-A1 of Vietnam fame.
So the Democrats took a Civilian rifle, and Militarized it.
And now Democrats and uninformed hysterical, illogical people want to ban what is basically the same civilian rifle that just has had some cosmetic features on it changed.
Do you see the logical disconnect here?
When the AR-15, which DESPITE what ignorant, uninformed people claim DOESN'T MEAN AUTOMATIC RIFLE, it means Armalite Rifle Model 15, was first sold to the public, it took an existing varmint hunting caliber the .222 Remington and slightly modified it to give higher velocity and a slightly heavier bullet, and put it in a light handy rifle using aircraft grade aluminum parts. It is a descendant of the Armalite Rifle Model 10 which was a full size rifle which was designed in the hopes to replace the existing M-14 Battle Rifles that had then were issued to our troops at the time.

So the Mauser M712 Schnellenfuer will now be banned
under Diane Feinstein's new bill bill? So pistols that originally started to be manufactured in 1927 A.D. based on a design from a pistol that started being manufactured in 1896 A.D. will be banned under that abomination?
