I guess these financial problems aren't ending any time soon. Rumor has it that the government will take over Fannie and Freddie as soon as this weekend, which can cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Both companies account for half of this nation's mortgage debt. I FUCKING HATE it when these millionnaire CEOs just stood aside and let their companies give out bad loans so they could make a lot of money, and when their companies fail, we taxpayers are the ones that need to foot their bills. It's SO FUCKING UNFAIR! I claim 2 deductions (although I really should just claim 1), and I get 15% off my paychecks deducted for just the federal tax, not including state tax and social security (which I probably won't see a penny of when I turn 65). FIFTEEN FUCKING PERCENT! Now part of that money is going to be used to help those rich executives who do businesses unfairly and those STUPID home buyers whose eyes are bigger than their bank accounts. Sigh... sorry that I am ranting on a Friday night. I probably really should just go out and get drunk.

I hate saying this but now it seems like every week I come here, and I write "oh what a week. I was so busy". But it's true! I guess alternatively I could say that I FREAKING BETTER GET A NICE BIG FAT BONUS THIS YEAR.
The stock market is so bad lately. I remember that up until October of last year (peak of stock market), everything seemed fine. I knew the housing and mortgage problem was slowly growing, but you didn't really hear about it. It seemed like everyone was downplaying the problem to keep the bubble becoming bigger and bigger. Then everything just dropped, and kept dropping, like falling knives that you can't catch. And now IndyMc collapsed yesterday. One out of the 19 billion in deposits was not covered by FDIC guarantees, so people who bank there can lose up to 1 billion dollars. This teaches you all rich people NOT to keep all of your money in one bank, but to keep only up to $100,000 in each bank so all of it is FDIC insured. I know I don't have this problem now but hopefully some day I will. Which bank will be next?
I really want to see two movies that are coming out on 7/18. The first one is The Dark Knight. Christian Bale is hot. The movie is filled with action. And it's the last movie Heath Ledger did. The second movie is Mamma Mia!
I saw the musical at Mandalay Bay a couple years ago and loved it. I love the music. When I first found out that they were going to make a movie of it, I didn't want to see it because I thought it would be corny, but then I found out that Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan are in it - two of my favorite actors. Most importantly, Sky is played by the hot Dominic Cooper:

Movie hopping time?

Woohoo!
Today I had the biggest gains in the stock market since I began investing about a year ago. Thanks to GOOG:

No, I don't have thousands of shares, not even hundreds, not even 20... I wish I had bought more at $438 a months ago though. I know that a lot of people made thousands of thousands today on GOOG, and some lost that much. I guess I shouldn't complain about my tiny earnings because I least I didn't short that stock. Ka ching! Here comes my gambling money for Vegas!
Last week my coworkers and I proposed to our boss that we could work 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and get every other Friday off. Today our proposal was sort of shut down. It would have been nice to get a 3-day weekend every other weekend. Fridays are usually so quiet for us, and we get most of our work done Monday through Thursday, so it really doesn't affect the company that much, but it would benefit us a lot. Oh well...

Stock Market
News just came out that JP Morgan is buying Bear Stearns at $2 per share. Bear's CEO came on air last Tuesday assuring the market and investors that their company is not in trouble, and four days later, their stock is coming down from $63 (last Tuesday's price) to $2. Asian markets are tanking right now because of this news. Dow future is currently down 300 points. I am going to be too scared to watch the news tomorrow. Maybe I should be looking for a second job... anyone interested in hiring a stripper tutor?
