Burke is 3

My little baby turned 3 on August 28th.
I can't believe its been 3 years already!
My little man is the sweetest and most rambunctious little guy I know.
He'll sing me a song and then slap my cheeks.
He'll give me a kiss and then bite me.
He'll hit his sister then give her a big hug.
I wouldn't have him any other way!

Catching up

I have a lot of catch up to do since I'm a blogging slacker.
I hope to do better but we'll see how that goes.
In April we took our family trip to Disneyland again which the kids loved.
This year we left some time to get to the beach!
May 2nd I had knee surgery to repair some cartilage and meniscus damage.
That pretty much sucked!!
May 29th Carly had her tonsils and adenoids removed as well as tubes placed in her ears. Her tonsils were touching and left her airway around the size of a pinky. Her adenoids were so large it restricted her nasal passages so much she had no airway. She had moderate hearing loss due to fluid buildup which most likely had something to do with her adenoids. Her doctors think her eating and weight problems had a lot to do with all of these issues.
I tend to believe them.
She was 30 lbs. on the day of surgery and 3 months after surgery she is 33 lbs. Carly can breathe through her nose and can hear things much better. So I consider surgery a success!
4 days after surgery Carly had her dance recital and did awesome!!!
Thad and I went to Florida May 18th to find a place to live. During our trip there we decided that moving the entire family for 1 year would not be the best for us. There were many factors to that decision, none of which made it any easier. But we enjoyed some time there anyways.
 We took the kids bowling.
We spent 6 weeks in Idaho at the cabin...
We said goodbye to Medusa who was dying of kidney failure.
Dusa was an amazing dog and we will always miss her!
Carly played dress up.
 ...And so did Burke!
 We went fishing.
 Woody came to visit.
The kids found a dead mouse and proceeded to play with it.
We went rafting on the lake.

 We went to Bear World.
We went fishing again while Carly and Burke played in the water.
 Carly modeled.
 We caught minnows.
Our favorite was white water rafting.
So. Much. Fun.
