Two in one day!

I can't believe it! I never post twice in one day, but I know that there will be no carding tomorrow.
This image was also a RAK from my special, sweet friend, Heather. Its called, Changito Love Balloon. The brads are also from Making Memories. The paper is Making Memories Easter, but I thought the colors could work for valentines day. I have a hard time with the typical "valentine" colors. They can get too...cluttered. I don't know. I don't work with them very well. =0) So here is my non-conventional valentine:

Owl Therapy!

Today, Noah is feeling even better (and I apparently have a sinus infection now) and has taken quite a long nap. Surprisingly, my nephew went down at the same time, though he didn't sleep quite as long but just long enough for me to break out my Ollie image. Thanks to my WONDERFUL friend Heather. I think Ollie will be my next splurge. ;)
I lifted the layout from someone on splitcoaststampers. The paper is from Makin Memories. It is an 8x8 stack called "5th Avenue". I think I am going to have to go and get another one. I LOVE this stack! It came with stickers, borders, tags...it is nice! The image, as previously mentioned, is Ollie from Stampendous and was a RAK. The flower is stickled.
So here is my spur-of-the-moment card. Hope you enjoy!

We Survived!

I swear, when germs get into this household it takes WAY too long to get rid of it! Ugh! Noah had the croup, then a secondary sinus infection. Mommy had her own sinus infection through it all. Why does it always work that way? My nephew has been seriously ill himself and was not here yesterday and today.

Since I was feeling better today drug out my supplies and scrapped! Weehaw! Here is the result! One of my faves! For the circle outline, I traced a plate and a slightly smaller bowl. LOL! I used my cricut, George and Basic shapes for the word "Trike" and the stars. No special brands to report. I got the paper at...um...I think Michaels a few weeks ago. I got it just for Noahs book. Thought they were great Boy designs and colors! Anyway, enjoy!
This is a card I made the other week before the plague took over the house! I received this billybootsbella image from my friend Diane (Raz). Not sure of the brand on the paper, but the flowers are from American Craft. I popped out the umbrella and the boots with dimensionals and then stickled them! (love those stickles!) I wanted it to seem like it was raining flowers. It reminds me of the saying, "April showers bring May flowers." Enjoy!

And she's back...from outer space....

Whatever, lol! Silly mood today! Got some things done!

A few weeks ago a friend of ours told me about the Bill Nye the Science Guy Paper Factory and thought I might be able to use it for my cards to make my own neat paper. I didn't remember until last week to look for it and am glad I waited. They were 7 dollars at Walmart. My first attempt yesterday was kinda...Um, not-so-nice, so I tried again today. I like the outcome. It is not dry in this picture, but not bad for my second attempt.

After I got red dye from one end of my kitchen to the other, (not to mention my hands), I decided to finally tackle the CCCWC! I am so glad I did. I HATE making Valentines cards. Not because I don't like the holiday, but because I have a hard time with all of that PINK and RED, and HEARTs....it can get cluttered! So I did some Splitcoast surfing and found a great layout and the ideas just FLOWED! Here is the finished product. The paper is from Makin Memories, some of my fave! The cuttlebugged paper is from good ole, sweetie Heathermom, also from Cafemom. The image is Be Mine, Heart and Sole from House Mouse. Love that cute monica! I got the bling from a sweet friend, Toothy (Heather) from Cafe Mom. It was the PERFECT touch, I think! Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Oh, so long!

Well, I had all but given up my blog, but I was prompted by (Heather) Toothy, as well as Shemaine to get back into the game. It won't be often, as I am about to begin babysitting my nephew beginning next week so I don't see too much craft time in my future. But, for the time I have I will delight in sharing again!

Last week I started Noahs third scrapbook (still have not finished the first two...a couple pages missing in both). Not to mention I do not own said book, lol. Nevertheless, I got a start. On Noahs birthday we made Christmas cookies at my moms house. Noah loved every minute and did an amazing job with everything for a 2 year old! I was so proud of him! I told my husband that it was my favorite Christmas cookie making EVER!

For this layout I used the cricut cart, George and Basic Shapes for the numbers and letters. The gingerbread men were from my wonderful Christmas secret sister. I believe they were Joanns essentials, but I could be mistaken.

Today I was able to work on Shemaine's inspiration challenge over on Card Makin Mamas. This is the over the top, fantastic cake that she provided for inspiration. I could go on for DAYS with all of the inspiration from this cake!!!

Here is the card that I created. I originally was going to have some dimensional flowers and vines and such, but realized quickly that I didn't have the supplies for my inspiration. SO, I took a good look at the picture and used the colors and ric rac. These are the first things that jumped out at me. Thank you to Diane for the red ric rac.I used the cakeabella (obtained from one of many swaps) to keep with the cake inspiration. The baubly things are K and Company, also from my Secret Sister. The cake has stardust stickles and the felt flower is from American Craft. Lastly, the paper is the "Travel" pack from Makin Memories.
