January 2013 in Review

January 2013
I have neglected the blog for too long!  Some of you may heard a while back my hard drive that had ALL of my digital photos (10 years worth) CRASHED! After sending it to multiple top professionals there was a heartbreaking realization that they are gone forever! And No, I did not have a back up of them! I have literally gone through the grieving process. Some people may not quite understand how that could affect someone so deeply.  But if you know me and my love for capturing memories through a lens, you can see how devastating it was for me. I was able to retrieve a teeny percentage of my pics that were lucky enough to be printed at Costco and Inkleys.  I also was able to get images my Dad had taken of us in the past that I am so grateful for! I try to tell everyone now BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP!  I now have two external hard drives and ALSO an online back up. I can't rewind 10 years but I have learned from this experience in multiple ways.  It's time to move forward now and start fresh with my Photo Journaling.  Here is my Review of 2013, I am going to post January-June and I'm working on July-December right now.  So here it goes...
January 2013
Emmett was blessed (actually in Dec 2012) but I took his blessing outfit pics in January.  His blessing was a wonderful day with family and I am so thankful for our precious baby.  Here is proof that his eyes used to be blue!
I made a fort with the kiddos in the basement. It was HUGE and awesome! I'm glad I got a pic of the frame of it.  We got very creative. Then they watched a movie and had popcorn inside.
Megan for her 10th birthday got her ears pierced.  She was excited and a little scared. She pierce them at the same time as her cousin Jane.
Jack was So excited for his bishops interview. He also filled out his paperwork for his baptism program.
We had a Zebra toe painting party :)
Spencer got me a Beco baby carrier.  I LOVE it, and apparently so does Emmett.
I use to sleep like this when I was a baby.
Jack turned 8.  He is such a ham!
Baby cousin Pics. Emmett was born first, then the twins Tommy & Caroline, and then little Noah.

February 2013 in Review

February 2013
Our Jack-Attack chose to be baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We love him and are so proud of him and the good choices he makes.  I feel so blessed that we are members of this church and the love and knowledge that it gives us.
Nana and Bobo and all of their grandchildren!
Jr. Jazz.  We love Chris D. as coach and Spence was assistant coach on the times he was in town.
Oliver fell asleep holding Emmett's hand and I thought it was so cute!
Kate's Before and After hair cut.
Valentines Day.  I made some of our favorites: Sweet and Sour Meatballs and sugar cookie bars for dessert! Yum!
I had also taken the boys on a valentine date. And their favorite part was a stop at the dollar store.
Emmett LOVES this door bouncer!  It is fun watching him bounce and spin in it.
 Kate the lil' Diva.
Jack's Helium Mishap-  So the kids run into my room in the morning to show me something funny they were doing.  Jack took a deep breath and then sucked in (THREE times in a row) helium from a balloon. He started to sing "Bow chicka-wow-wow" in a silly high voice and then PASSED OUT! He fell toward my bed, bounced off that and his face fell into the dresser and a decorative thing. With the bleeding and this huge open wound made for a definite trip to the ER!  Oh did I mention Spencer was out of town on business?  Good times!
Here are a few random phone shots:  Loving Siblings, Sleeping baby, Wonderful Husband snuggling our sweet baby, Kate and her friend Ellis playing makeup.
One February morning the frost seemed unusual.  They were large crystals and the air felt very crisp and still.  It was a neat morning and I had to take a few shots of it.
