First Hair Cut

I decided that Davis needed a haircut. It has been growing over his ears and down his neck for some time now. I kind of let it get out of hand. I didn't cut Lindsay or Samantha's hair until they were almost "2".
Here is the before picture.

Here is the inbetween picture. (Dave used scissors first and then went to clippers)

I couldn't believe how much hair we cut off.

This is what my little boy looks like now. Did you notice that I said "little boy" and not baby. He doesn't have the baby look anymore.

Sleepless Night

I thought I was done with "sleepless nights" since Davis has been sleeping through the night for a while. Last night Lindsay came into our room and woke up Dave. I guess Dave was so out of it he let Lindsay sleep in our bed. (I am so against my kids sleeping in my bed and have NEVER let them.) Lindsay then woke up in our bed saying she saw someone and was scared. Dave then realized she was sleeping with us and sent her back to her room. This was about 2:30 a.m. At about 3:00 a.m. Lindsay came back into our room and said she wasn't tired. (Wasn't tired? It is 3:00 in the morning. Who isn't tired at that time?) She then proceeded to climb up into our bed. Just as she thought she was getting settled in, Samantha starting screaming. We jump out of bed to see what was wrong. She had peed on the floor. (Yes, we are doing the potty training thing and she refuses to wear a pull up at night). As I am changing her clothes she is looking at the design she had peed on the floor and said "hey, it looks like a hand". At this point I cannot comprehend how anyone can think this early in the morning. We get her all settled and I go and get Lindsay from my bed. Mom: Lindsay, you have to sleep in your bed.
Lindsay: Why can't I sleep in your bed?
Mom: Because this is my bed and you have your own.
Lindsay: But mom, friends share. That is what they do.
To hear this at 3:00 a.m. was so cute, but she still had to sleep in her own bed. I guess I am not a very good friend. I don't like to share my bed with my kids. So with all of the non-sleep we got last night the kids are really whiney today. (Wait, they are always whiney). You gotta love them though!!!

Boys...Boys...Boys

I don't remember my girls EVER doing this. I guess it is a boy thing. I can't keep up with him. Every time I turn around he is into something else. I say "DAVIS" so many times a day that the girls have caught on. Poor kid. Gotta love him.

Check out my Slide Show!

My sister Denette and her family came to visit the other weekend. We both surprised our kids with a trip to Disneyland. We didn't tell them until we were walking into the gates. It was a lot of fun. The girls loved it, especially waving to the princesses. But as you can see, they were worn out after two days of excitement.
