Dog days of Summer

Summer is here and in full swing! It's hot but we are managing to find fun things to do! A week ago we dog sat a little dog named Penny. Ella was especially taken by her. She was an old slow dog so Brody was a little bored with her as she wouldn't even run through the sprinkler with him.

 Our Ella girl is a silly little girl. This is one of her funny faces. She already is an eye roller!

 The kids and I went to Riverview park which has a splash pad, playground with lots of fun things, a pond with ducks and it happens to also to be the Chicago Cubs spring training stadium.

 Our new addition to the backyard, with a slide. Yeah a slide! :) The kids have fun.

                             Ella has started to put make up on and she loves it. My girlie girl!

Anyways that's a little look into our summer so far. I need to capture some better pictures of Brody in swim lessons.

Christmas and Autumn

 Christmas this year was so fun. One of the best things that happened was Daddy graduating college and getting a job!!! Santa got the kids a trampoline which has been so much fun for them. They opened there other presents first before they noticed the note from Santa.

 After Christmas it was "Autumn". All the leaves fall off our tree in January. It's pretty... but it's backwards. The kids had fun in all the leaves though.

 Then we all got hit with the flu except mom. Lots of liquids, snuggles, movies and sleep.

 One morning Ella woke up and came out of her room with the handful of stuffed animals and dolls. She also had removed her pj's before coming out.

 She loves her nails getting all pretty.

 We took the kids to the Home Depot kids workshop day. They loved it and made a wooden race car with Home Depot stickers all over it.

Halloween and swimming!

 Brody was Buzz Lightyear for Halloween and Ella was a 50's girl! Brody and Nick were invited to go with Adam and Beth and their kids to Adam's Halloween work party. Ella feel asleep early that night so we stayed home but Brody had lots of fun and loved to do anything with his cousin Bennett.  Brody really loved Halloween this year. He kept saying he was good at trick or treating.  Ella and I did a little trick or treating but mostly hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's and ate their Halloween candy.

Brody is always telling me to take a picture of the baby. So here is our most recent pictures of the blue eyed beauty!

Happy Halloween

 Ella was our cute little Lady bug tonight.

 Brody didn't want anything to do with his costume and opted to hand out candy instead! He loved watching all the kids come up to the door.
