Carson's 10th Birthday!

This year Carson's birthday was on a Sunday.  So we didn't do too much.  Although as I might have said before since his birthday is so close to Christmas we always give him half of his presents on his birthday and then on June 29th he has a half birthday where he gets the other half of his presents.  That way he can have some summer presents too and not all of them within four days!

But this year of course he got some clothes.  Since he's so tall he's growing out of everything and really needed church clothes!

Then if you know Carson you know he LOVES Pokemon.  So of course he got Pokemon stuff.

And an R.C. truck to play with Austin inside when they can't use their big R.C. cars outside.

And a video game!

I love this picture of him.  It makes me laugh!

He's such a cute kid!

Grandpa does this almost every year and he falls for it almost every year!  Love you Grandpa!!!

Happy birthday to my cutest Carson.  Love you buddy!

Our pretty tree.  I love it when it's all lit up with the presents under it.  It's so festive...but not for long!

These are our gifts from Santa Claus!

Austin got an Imaginext Castle.  He loves it!

Carson got a robot that fires darts at a helicopter that flies around it.

Shelby's really into One Direction so that's what she got!

Kaylee got a RipStik.  I should stock up on Band-Aids!

I got a new pair of boots...got to love Santa!

Curt got an R.C. helicopter.  We might be ducking for cover in our house during the Christmas break!!!

Kaylee's Piano Recital

December 21st was Kaylee's Christmas Piano Recital.  She did such a great job.  She even had a duet with her friend McKayla and they rocked it!  They practiced and practiced for days but it paid off.  Great job Kaylee!  We knew you could do it even if you were nervous!

Austin's Pre-School Halloween Parade

On Halloween Austin's pre-school class did their annual parade of costumes.  He wanted to be a ninja!  There are only four kids in his class and they are all boys!  So it was a short parade but they sing songs, too.  I love it and it's so fun to see how proud they are of themselves when they sing their songs to the parents.  Thank you Mrs. Pett!!!

Let the Games Begin...the Pumpkin Carving Games, That Is!

It's a tradition that on the Monday before Halloween we carve our pumpkins for Family Home Evening.  It's not really a contest but you can't tell that to the boys in our family.  Everything is a contest to them!

Here are the pumpkins in all their grandeur.  There's even on in there from our neighbors.  They got in on the fun this year, too.

This one of course is Shelby's.  It's a One Direction pumpkin!

This is Curt's (I think!)  Spooky!!!

This one is Kaylee's.  It's a cute kitty-cat!

This one is Carson's.  Frankenstein...urggg!

This one is Austin's!

This one is mine!  I like mine the best and I think I won the contest!  Oh, but it's really not a contest...just as everyone has fun (Yeah, right!)

Happy Halloween!!!

Guess Who's 5?

October 23rd is a very special day in our family.  It's Austin's birthday and this year he turned 5!  We had school and work that day so we let him open up on present in the morning then later at night we would open the rest when grandmas and grandpa came over to celebrate with us.

**Note:  Some of the pictures are blurry.  I think something's wrong with my camera...or maybe it's operator error!

He's very excited!

He got a Nook!  Now he can play games like the "Big Kids"!

Later that night after already lots of sugar!

He loves Beyblades!  Thanks Grandma Moon!

Of course there's clothes, the gift that every kid loves to get!

What's in the big box?

An R.C. car just like Dad's and Carson's!

Time for cake and the blowing out of candles!

This year was his very first friend birthday party!  He was so excited!  He wanted to have a Halloween themed party.  Imagine that?  So three days after his birthday we prepared for little monsters and super heroes to invade our abode!

We had mummy-dogs and mummy juice boxes with monster cupcakes for dessert!

So the first thing we did was had them go outside for a relay race.  Dad was in charge of that while I was getting things ready for our activities on the inside.

Once they were done we had them come in and they made their own cotton ball ghosts to take home with them.  I love some of their faces!

Then we played Pin-The-Nose-On-The-Skull!  So funny!  I swear they got everywhere but where the nose ACTUALLY goes!

Then it was time for presents!

I can't believe my baby is 5!  He had so much fun it makes it all worth the hard work!
