Blogging scares me. It does.
It's time-consuming, the pictures take forever to upload, and then-the most intimidating part- what to write?
I'm not a writer, not even close. Every time I write something it sounds strange when I read it back in my mind.
I usually just write captions for my pictures. I think I'll try to write a little more. Even if it sounds strange.

I chose some pictures from the past year that made me smile. I have a lot to smile about. Sometimes it's good to look through pictures to remind myself. In these pictures you'll find my kids, my hubby, snippets of parties and big-boy rooms. You'll see what adventures we had this year, the way we all love to pose, and hopefully you will see the love we share in our family.

In December we went to Playa del Carmen. We spent 8 days in the soft, pale sand and crystal waters. It confirmed my belief that winter is overrated. The kids loved bodysurfing, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins and learning cool things like the mayan name for iguana is "Huh".

Roxy just turned 11. She is a total "tween". She gets along well with friends and at school. She is into clothes and big kid toys, making crafts and being silly.

Eleanor is a kindergarten kid now. She is a bundle of energy and brains. She is obsessed with animals, and pretending to be a doggie.

Yep, that's me. I got to play cool and ride in the back of an F-16 jet. Okay, I didn't get to actually fly in it, but I got to sit in the back and we went really fast on the runway before we stopped.

We love us some pink and flowers, for sure. But it's also fun having a boy around.

Zeke turned three in September and is quickly turning into a little boy. He catches me off-guard with witty things that he says. He did something naughty yesterday and when I scolded him, He looked sheepish and said, "This is a sticky situation."

I know the last few (sporatic) blogs have been about Ellie. This little gem is also from Eleanor.
When I tucked her in tonight she hugged me and said, "I want to snuggle. Not just because you are my mom, but because I love you". Then she sighed and fell asleep.

This-this, is why I have gone through countless 18 hour days as a mom, exhausted, busy, and disorganized. All for the little pay off at the end of this day.

Ellie's scar is looking MUCH better. Admittedly, she has a little bit of concealer makeup, but still....

I'm in tears. Ellie is not. But I am. I feel like I failed her as a mom.
Here is what she looks like after the stitches came out.
Not good.
I'm so angry that the plastic surgeon refused to come in.
And I'm so angry that I couldn't have found a way to make it happen.
And I'm just so sad that I couldn't have done more for my baby girl.
I know it doesn't seems like a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
I know that some people's children have cancer or other debilitating illnesses.
Even within our extended family there are more pressing issues. So, it seems like
I am overly upset. But I am just so upset.
I'm going to take her to a plastic surgeon ASAP.
NOT Dr. Cheng. Did I mention never to go to her!?
Any recommendations?
