In case your wondering...

Rylie is healing up pretty well. We got her stitches out on Friday. The swelling is totally gone and she is on the mend. After we went to the doctor on Friday we went to get some ice cream. In our house ice cream pretty much heals all. Then we came home and the girls were playing outside. Of course Rylie and Kenzie bonked heads and split her face back open. There was so much blood...but thankfully it was not deep. I just knew that was going to happen.

And the winner is...

The winner of your raffle is Kayleen Hunsaker. Congrats to Kayleen. A huge thanks to all of you who purchased tickets. I wanted everyone to win...so I had a friend pick the ticket. This has taught my children so much about service and giving. They have also got to experience all you of giving to others as well...what a great example you are. They are so excited to get the gifts and wrap them "so very pretty" (as Hailey would say). Thanks again for your willingness to give...we believe this it what the Christmas season is all about.

Add one more ER trip to the count...

Well anyone who knows us well knows that we went we used to be regulars at the ER. Mostly with Brenden...we have felt blessed to stay clear from there lately. It is actually kind of a joke around here. It seems our luck has changed. Saturday Rylie split open her face on the trampoline. I took her to the closest ER and after hours of waiting and an hour of medicine to get her numb they finally gave her 12 stitches. The doctor did a really good job. Here are some pictures of my poor baby.
Warning: if you have a weak stomach you might not want to see these....

Saturday after our visit...she was happy to get home and even more happy Daddy had Mcdonalds for her to eat.

Sunday night...

Monday night...

She thinks she looks like Frankenstein...which is so cool if it is just for a little while!

Spooky.....

Every year it seems like I enjoy this holiday more and more. I just love this time a year when it starts to cool off and we can spend more time outside. On Friday night we went to our ward trunk or treat. There was a really good turn out and I was lucky enough to have my friend Andrea and her daughter join us. Jason was handing out candy...so of course we ran out(a handful at a time), so he paid Brenden $10 for his bag of candy to pass out. I thought it was pretty funny.

Kenzie was a fairy....I mean a princess fairy.

Rylie was a fairy godmother...mostly because she wanted Kenzie to be her daughter.

Hailey was a witch...with straight purple hair!

Brenden being teenwolf...

Two little witches...

On Halloween we went around our neighborhood. There were actually a lot of people out which was nice. We even took Ryker with us. He kept growling at Hailey, but she did not care. Brenden changed his costume to a paintball guy...and Kenzie changed to a ladybug(she froze the night before).
Kenzie with her best buddy...aka, Ryker!

One house had a bounce house instead of candy...it was a huge hit!

Until next year....

Carving Pumpkins...

Tonight we carved up some serious pumpkins!

Also...did I mention that it has been quite an interesting day. First, picked Hailey up from school for having an allergic reaction to cashews. It actually happened last night, I thought she was fine to go to school. After about an hour on the Internet I found that you can be allergic to tree nuts and not peanuts. And that it can stay in your system for 24 hours...would have been nice to know before I sent her to school. Then Brenden wrecked on his bike and laid open his leg! Hailey came in screaming that Brenden was bleeding and it looked like he had been bit by a shark. Since this is like an everyday(or it seems) thing with him, I just gave him 3 butterfly band aids and called it good!

Nan and Dylan...

Last weekend we were happy to have Nan and Dylan come and visit us. Dylan is one of Jason's uncle Kevin's sons. We do not get to see him that often so it was totally fun to have him stay the weekend with us. Jason was happy to show him some things about baseball that he had learned from Kevin. I thought it was sweet. Nan was a huge help! Before we knew they were coming I had planned on going to my Grams house for Friday night and all day Saturday....so I was gone for some of the fun. I heard they had a sleep over on the trampoline, Jason made his famous fries and they all went to Hailey's soccer game. Jason had also invited a cousin of mine over to play...Gage. Jason was a trooper with all these kids...but they loved every second of it. I am looking forward for Nan to come back and for us to do all our holiday projects....this will be the third year in a row. That counts as a tradition right?

As for me and Grams...we had the best time. I got to go to dinner with her and my Dad. I enjoyed the quite. Grams is so funny. She still does the same things for me that she did when I was a little girl. She is the one constant loving thing that I have always had in my life. Funny things she did...laid out her pajamas for me to wear...she chose them because she thought I would like them(even though I had my own), turned on my shower water and hung my towel for me, made me hot chocolate with marshmallows(even though I told her I don't like marshmallows), and of course scratched my back...um mm I love that one! I feel love and warmth when she is around. I hope one day I can make my grandchildren feel the way she makes me feel...of course I am her favorite!!

Mess...

That is what we call her...we obviously have good reasons!

And...yes I am still breathing, but Jason does not check this thing very often!!

Some Catching Up...

We have been busy with all kinds of things this past little while and I really have no excuse as to why I have not posted. With fall break I have been busy with my kids home, we have had soccer, family in town, lots of time outside and....

Some exciting news in the Johnson Family!! Baby Taylor is finally here. Dustin and Lindsey welcomed her on October 15th. Mom and baby are both good...and resting. Taylor has tons of black hair and is as cute as can be. My kids are so excited!! Pictures to come soon.

Here is Kenzie...she has fallen asleep again. I have been trying to keep her from napping because even if she naps for 15 mins she is up until at least 11pm. When Grandma Patti was here she asked her if she was tired and needed a nap and Kenzie relpied...yes, but my mom won't let me! I just had to laugh.

We celebrated Jason's birthday. The kids worked on this sign for him. Hailey signed everything love, H. I thought that was cute. They all wrote special things that they love about him. His family was all here(Mom, Dad, Nan, Dustin & Lindsey) and we had some super yummy carne asada tacos and some brownie icecream cake. We also got to go to Home Depot and pick up a couple of things that he needed/wanted. Rylie and Kenzie spilled the secret early....they were just to excited to keep it. Jason and I also got to go to dinner and a movie the next night. Thanks to Nan and Patti for watching the kids. We do not go out often so we really enjoyed it.

Jason was changing his brakes on his truck and so Kenzie decided to do some work on her bike. She cracks me up...when Jason is home I always know where to find her. She is like his shadow. I love when she comes to me thrilled that "daddy gets to stay home today."

Kenzie got into my makeup AGAIN. I swear I hide it so many times that I even forget where I put it...but she somehow manages to find it everytime.

Rylie decided to play pirate and came out looking like this. She raided Brenden's room and found the perfect Hat...I mean underware?!? This girl is so funny. I thought it was pretty creative.

One night we decided that we should make some homemade pizza. It was a huge hit and the kids loved making thier own.

Enjoying thier hard work!
Yep...Kenzie is eating in her undies. It is an everyday thing. Oh, well!

Kenzie taking a picture of herself...

I will probally be found dead somewhere after Jason realizes that I posted this. I just couldn't resist. He was so tired from school and work that he did not have the energy to fight these little girls. He was such a great sport. They were thrilled to give him a makeover!

Kenzie's escape plan....

Rylie wanted to show me "Kenzie's escape plan"...so she borrowed my camera (which she is not allowed to touch) and got some proof.

Rylie said she was sorry but she wanted me to see...I told her next time just to come and get me. She said ok. Also....Kenzie thinks that since it is starting to cool off she needs her jacket on. I gave up trying to explain to her that it is still 100 degrees out and she really does not need it. However shorts would be nice.

Busy...busy

It seems like since school started we have been pretty busy. I keep thinking it is going to slow down. It won't but I just keep thinking it anyways! Saturday Hailey had her first soccer game of the season...

Which made this little one pretty sleepy...

And speaking of sleepy...Kenzie was a little sneak and took popcorn on my bed. She also got caught!!

Today we had Stake Conference. Rylie had a hard time sitting for 2 whole hours straight. At the closing song she said...How long can this song be??? In her not so quiet Rylie voice.

Now everyone is being lazy...

I am thankful for Sunday....especially when church starts at 10am and not 8am!!
