Monster Trucks!

Ken and Jonah went to the Monster Truck Rally at the Pepsi Center on Sunday (February 11) with their friends Chris & Noah.
Here's what Jonah had to say about that...
"Well, I watched 'em jump over the cars and crush 'em. I saw that dragon, and I got scared. It crushed cars and I thought it could reach us, but it couldn't 'cause we were too high. Daddy told me there was a driver in there, and it breathed fire and I liked it. I liked when all the [drivers] got out of their cabs and waved to all of us. It was so fun, really so fun that I liked it so much! The four wheelers and remote control monster trucks were fun. I weared [wore] ear plugs because it was so loud, and Noah (my friend) came with me. The best part was that it was really so fun and I liked it so much!"

January 2007

I can't believe it's February already - sorry I'm such a slacker about posting. Here's the lowdown on this month:
As you can see from the pictures, Janae got her hair cut for the first time (besides trims). She donated about 11 inches to locks of love. We all like her new 'do' and she can comb it herself!

It has snowed at least once a week for the past 7 weeks. This week it has already snowed twice. The constant white on the ground is getting to everyone, but today is groundhog day - so only 6 weeks left of 'winter'. Since this is Colorado, it could get really warm next week and melt everything (but the big piles) which is what I'm hoping for : )

Because of all the cold, the kids need some exercise which they can't get ouside, so both are taking gymnastics classes at the North Boulder Rec Center. Janae also enjoys Spanish class (again) until the end of February. She sold 132 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies (which will be delivered in a couple weeks). I attended her parent-teacher conference on Wednesday - and everything is great! Janae is an outstanding student who is almost at a 5th grade reading level, enjoys writing, and is a math superstar. Woohoo Janae!

Jonah is enjoying being at home with me. Grandpa & Grandma Cobb moved to Longmont about 3 weeks ago, after living in Durango (CO) for about 28 years. Amy and Jonah have enjoyed lunch with them the last two Wednesdays and hope to make that a standing tradition.

Ken took 5 trips in January. One of them was to visit his Grandmother for her 80th birthday - she was surprised by a few people who flew in for the occasion. He also enjoyed catching up with some family members he hadn't seen in a long time.

I (Amy) started school a couple weeks ago, and am enjoying my classes - Political Science and US History. Life tends to zip by, but I'll try to keep you updated at least once a month!
