It's a BABY SISTER!

Okay, so we have found out that Makayla gets a baby sister. I was so expecting a boy that it caught me totally by surprise. We do not have a name yet for her and may not until she is born so we just call her baby sister. She moves around like crazy which drives mommy crazy, but at least it means she is doing well. Makayla likes to talk to baby sister and show her things (even though baby sister can't actually see them). She also loves to give baby sister zerberts which means mommy's tummy gets quite wet. She always says goodnight to her also. She is going to be a wonderful big sister and I am so excited to see her really in action. Makayla is really developing an attitude to her. She tries to tell mommy what to do and what she can do. It will be a bit of a relief when we get her in a dance class and swimming class as maybe she will not have as much energy at home. Makayla is also an animal magnet. Animals just tend to come to her instead of running away. It is way cute and fun. She loves the park and it is a good thing for mommy so I get some exercise. Kyle is busy with school and is doing well. He is the best daddy, when he gets home Makayla always wants him to play and he obliges most of the time unless she is not obeying. She is now a destructo and makes huge messes that mommy sometimes does not have the energy to clean up, thankfully daddy is Superman and comes home and cleans things. Also last week was Spring Break for her uncles which she loved. She really has a good time with them and loves each and every one of them. We also went to Tucanos for my and Gordon's birthdays. It was very yummy and I probably ate a bit too much, but it was worth it. So funny story (sort of). On my birthday Kyle, Makayla, and I were supposed to meet at Brick Oven for lunch. Well, me being the space case that I am got cleaning and totally forgot. My phone was on the charger and turns to low when it is and so Kyle called me six times and then he comes in the door and Makayla and I are eating left over pizza and I say "Whats Wrong?" and he just stares at me and then says "you just gave me a heart attack that is all, weren't we going to have lunch." Yep that is me, Mrs. Forget-it-all. I felt so bad and then later after he had gone back to school I was a bit late to pick him up and so I said sorry and he said "Well better late than never" with a sly smile. Yep that is never going to be just a saying again. Anyhow I think that is it other than me blowing up like a balloon. Oh well. Laters.

Adventures in Makayla Land.

Okay, so the other day I was working and then I hear coming from the kitchen "MOMMY TOAST DONE!" So I went to check it out. Yep Makayla figured out how to turn the toaster oven on, had six pieces of bread in it and had it set to stay on. So needless to say we had to unplug the toaster over, which will hold her off on burning down the house for awhile. Then later that day, I guess she figured she couldn't make it to the potty and had a plastic bowl right there so just went potty in the bowl. I guess you can say she is creative and she didn't go on the floor. Also news flash, the locks that are the push the knob in and turn locks are the worst with kids. Yesterday it was kind of nice so we went outside, well unbeknownced to me, Makayla had locked the door and I did not have anything,i.e., no cell phone, keys, car keys, nada. Thankfully our neighbor was home and let us use her phone and crash there while we waited for my amazing hubby to walk home and open the door. Yeah that was fun. I also have a cute little video of her shaking daddy's keys and signing "jingle bells, jingle bells, one two three stop!". So much fun being her mommy and seeing all that she learns and says. She is very much into letting us know who loves her and if daddy goes to school and forgets to give her a kiss she throws a royal fit. I am so excited for her to become a big sister. She already loves babies so much and has fun poking the baby in mommy's tummy. Sometimes she thinks she has a baby in her belly too, which is way funny. I will never forget her reaction to the heart beat. It was just so exciting for her and made things more real to her. It is the weirdest thing because with her I craved ice cream, ice cream, and ice cream. This one I crave apples, oranges, almonds, fruit smoothies, broccoli, carrots, bagels with cream cheese, and really have no cravings for unhealth food with the exception of chips. Well I think that is all for now. I am going to try to treat this more as a journal so that I actually have some sort of journal. Luvs.

It's the most busiest season of the Year

So it has been a very busy season and it has also been almost a year since I have posted, I am really bad at this. In May we moved from Cedar City after Kyle graduated from SUU and he started his masters program at BYU so we are now in Provo. Also after Kyle graduated we went to San Diego for a vacation which was so wonderful and Makayla loved all the animals that we saw at Sea World and the Zoo. She loved the Shamu splash and thought it was awesome how big they were. We had a lot of fun even though it was a long drive. We are lots closer to family and some friends, yet still miss all of our awesome friends from Cedar some of which have moved to other places as well. In July Makayla turned 2 years old and we had a wonderful party. She got some awesome stuff including a play kitchen that she loves and is always cooking in and often I hear "dinner time" She has been talking our ears off and even tells mommy "wait just one minute." Funniest thing she does is puts various stuffed animals and toys in time out. She loves to play ashes ashes we all fall down and loves to run in circles laughing up a storm. Her favorite shows to watch are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins. Her very favorite movie is Tangled, she will actually watch the whole thing. She really is a joy and fun, although sometimes exasperating. Kyle and I have been blessed for him to be the recipient of a grant funded by the Navy which pays for his tuition and also pays him for 20 hours a week. We both are still doing transcription, although me more than him. In August we found out that I have carpal tunnel and high cholesterol so worked on that for a few months and it is finally getting better. Makayla is just about completely potty trained, she once in a while has accidents but for the most part goes all by herself and is very proud of it. As for thing in our families, my sister got an internship at Manila Elementary and loves teaching most days. She will be able to walk at SUU graduation next May. My brother Tyson got married and then divorced, it was a very dramatic thing and wish he did not have to go through it, but think he is doing rather well as much as can be expected. Kyle's brother Devin came home from his mission in June and got to meet Makayla for the first time. It was rough at first as she was really confused that all of a sudden there was a new person in the family but she loves her uncle Devin now and can say his name and Michael's name also. Another wonderful thing is Aunt Candice is officially Aunt Candice, she and Devin got married December 17 so as the title says it is the most busiest time of the year. Their wedding was cold, but wonderful and turned out really well. The only thing that was really hard for me is I am pregnant and nobody, except for my little sis because she is nosy and asked, knew and we did not want to tell anybody until after the wedding as we figured it was Candice and Devin's time. So I was very tired, worn out, and did not feel very good and on top of that I am showing so I wore shapewear which made it hard to breathe. It was still good though. Kyle turned 26 on December 20 and we went to Ruby River, it was very yummy. Then we did a Christmas thing with my family on December 23 and had Christmas Eve dinner with Kyle's family at which point Makayla wore a shirt that said "I am going to be a big sister.... but I'd still rather have a puppy." She also told Grandma Bodily "baby, mommy's tummy." It was cute. Devin had the best reaction though. He said "I knew they could do it." He is funny. So, yeah I am due July 29 which is only three days away from Makayla's birthday so I am actually hoping I go late or early, like one and a half weeks to two weeks. We are so grateful for all of our friends and our family that support us. They all are amazing people and enrich our lives. Luvs to all.

One more semester

So, this is our last semester here at SUU. Kyle gets to have fun and give a talk at graduation for 5 minutes. He is valedictorian of his college which doesn't surprise me much as he works so hard. Makayla has indeed become quite a monkey and can just about climb up into her crib and almost climb out of the pack and play. She is jabbering all day and can pretty much say Jesus perfectly and mom and dad. She is in a phase of kissing everyone and everything, in fact she kissed a little boy and when she did he gave her the nastiest look. She loves to blow kisses. She absolutely refuses to talk on the phone when somebody is on the other end, but will talk nonstop if no one is there. Kyle is doing a senior project that is pretty cool, it is a walker that has a seat that comes down. I have just been working and taking care of the house and the Makayla and am just getting over sickness. I am also putting together a quiet book for my neighbor who is due in the next month. I am so excited. Makayla will have a baby to look at that is real. We are definitely happy, not quite healthy but working on it and hope to be moving on to another part of our life in a few months. Oh and I get my braces off in two months or so.
