A Wisconsin Thanksgiving

This was our 2nd annual Wisconsin Thanksgiving. Austin and Natalie were so nice to invite us again this year for Thanksgiving. We absolutely love going to visit them! This year was especially fun because Macie and Cooper were able to play together. Last time we got together Macie was a little too young. They played all weekend and Macie wanted to do everything Cooper did. It was so cute.

I made matching turkey shirts for the kiddos... Perfect blackmail someday :)

Macie had to watch her parade :)

They played really well together...

With only a couple of these :) I love the Coop!

Dad's starting her early... At least he can fill her cavities!
(Disclaimer: I did not give her any soda!)

Macie's first official meal was Natalie's delicious Thanksgiving dinner. So good!!

Yes, Wisconsin was very cold.

Macie played so hard, this was she did most of the way home.

Thanks again Austin and Natalie for such a fun weekend!

The Simple Life

Macie LOVES to swing at the park. She will just sit there and watch all the other kids play on the playground. She is definitely our outdoor girl and gets so giddy and happy whenever we take her outside. Remember when our lives used to be that simple? Being a kid is the best and it's so fun to relive it through your own kids :)

Cookies Taste Better On Sunday

I LOVE fall for many reasons. One of them is because I get in the mood to bake. These are my favorite cookies of all time; pumpkin chocolate chip. I can just taste fall with every bite. Click here for the recipe.

"We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet"

I am so grateful we get to hear from the prophet, President Monson, this weekend! What a blessing it is to have a prophet on the earth today!

Family Photos

Konni was able to take family pictures of us while she was here. Thanks Konni!

September

September was a fun month. For labor day, we had a roommate reunion in Omaha. Trevor and Lauren and their adorable little girl Brooklyn came to visit from Colorado. Austin and Natialie with the studly Cooper came down from Wisconsin. It was so fun for everyone to get together. They guys did some golfing while the girls went shopping. The last day, the girls decided to go with the guys golfing. It was quite the scene with all the strollers. We are so glad everyone was able to get together and we hope we do this again soon!

Tyler's parents came to visit a couple of weeks later. It is always good to see family and we were so excited to see Mike and Konni. Mike was here for his dental school reunion at Creighton, Tyler had school, and I hung out with Konni and Macie. Macie loves her Nana Konni and was so excited to see her.

Macie turned 7 months a few days ago... Where is the time going? What she is doing....

-Full on crawling, arms and knees
-Talking more. She can whisper if we whisper to her, it's the cutest thing!
-She claps all the time
-She's starting to copy things we do
-Still eating great
-Growing more hair! It's finally starting to come in. I can't wait until I can put her hair in piggy tails :)

7 months

August

August was not too eventful. Tyler started his second year of dental school, which I can't believe is already here. His first year flew by! I'll be happy if every year goest his fast :)

Macie turned 6 months! She weighed 16lbs 3oz which put in her the 50%. She is 45% for height and 85% for head :) She is growing like a weed and I can't believe everything she has learned in 6 months. Some of her milestone...

-cut her first two baby teeth! Finally the drooling has calmed down!
-started the army crawl whcih turned into the inchworm crawl.
-started eating baby food. She likes pretty much everything so far. I kind of have to force feed her green beans and peas, but she'll eat them if they are mixed with something.
-started saying "dadadadada." Tyler is really proud of that one!
-she has the cutest and funniest personality. We love her so much!

Here are her 6 months photos we took. Seriously... they don't come much cuter! (I am a little biased!)

July

Usually we are in Utah for the 4th of July. I think this was the first year in a long time that I wasn't with my family in Utah for the 4th. It was sad but we  had a great 4th of July this year with friends. Omaha fireworks are amazing! We live up on a hill and for the whole weekend we were able to look over valley and see the whole sky lit up in fireworks. It was pretty cool.

The last part of July we headed home to AZ for a couple of weeks. We always love going home! This time, my family decided to rent a cabin in Greer, AZ for 4 days. It was awesome! Everyone was able to be together for 4 straight days which doesn't happen very often.

Dallen, Sayla and Macie...All 3 cousins on my side. They are all about 4 months apart.

We were also able to spend time with Tyler's family. My sis-in-law Kristi threw an amazing b-day party for our nephew Colton, It was a superhero themed party and she went all out. She decorated her whole house, Tyler painted this sick backdrop, and even had Tyler dress up as Spiderman. It made Colton's day and he started crying when Spiderman had to leave.

Macie turned 5 months in July. Some of the things she started doing...

-she could sit up by herself
-started eating rice cereal
-rolling all over the floor
-sleeping like a champ in her own bed
-making us laugh every day

We love our little peanut!
