Kids Sing the Funniest Things!

Today while we were in the car, I could hear Jackie singing; if you know Jackie, you know she loves to sing. She especially loves to sing songs she has made up herself. I was excited to hear her sing a primary song. Then I realized it was her own version of the famous primary song....

Baptism

Saturday was a beautiful day! It was full of family and love and the spirit, oh and food too! What more can you ask for? Raul's Grandpa Allen gave a talk on baptism. His Grandpa Dalley sang "Teach Me To Walk" with Ellie; and I gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Brett (obviously) preformed the baptism and the confirmation. Bishop Wilkins conducted and welcomed Ro as the newest member of our ward. It was so great and I really appreciate our Bishop and Stake President and the Primary for supporting this special baptism. They all want to see us go to the Temple and I love that they care about us so much. I am so proud of Ro and his decision to be baptized. I am not sure if you all know this but he had made a goal to finish the Book of Mormon before he got baptized and he did it! He actually finished it the night before he turned 8. He is an amazing kid. He feels and recognizes the spirit and he has a very tender heart. He has taken a lot on his little shoulders in such a short lifetime and I so appreciate his willingness to love and follow our Savior Jesus Christ. He is a great example to his sisters and to his parents. I hope and pray every day that I can be the Momma he needs. I hope that I can better share with him how much I love and adore him.

Congratulations Raul! We couldn't be more proud of who you are and the choices you have made!

Set In Stone!

Ok we have worked it all out! YAY!

Ro will be getting baptized this Saturday June 14th, at 11:00 am. He is crazy excited about this, Brett and I are too.

The temple sealing will be Friday June 27th at 7:40 am. I know, crazy early, but we didn't have any other options. It was either that or 3:00 and that is too late in the day for Todd and Shannon to be there. We really want them there.

So there you have it folks. We are so excited and we can't wait!

Update to the Update!

First off....Happy Birthday Ro!! We love you!

Now on to the good stuff (oh that sounds rude. Ro is the good stuff....but you all know what I mean).

We are having a special baptism next Saturday (the 14th) for Ro. I will let you all know the details of this when we know.

Then Friday the 27th we will be going to the temple to be sealed! It is the 7:40 (am!!!) sealing....for now. We are trying to pick a time when Bretts brother and wife might be able to go before they jet off to a previously scheduled cruise. This could change.

As soon as we have everything set in stone we will let you know. We know this is all last minute but that is how we roll!

Woo Hoo!

UPDATE: Brett phoned the temple this morning to get a date scheduled. They informed him that since Ro is turning 8 (tomorrow) he will have to be baptized before we can go and be sealed. I will admit that I don't totally understand this, but it is what it is. So we are trying to see if we can get Ro baptized before the stake day of July 5th. We are shooting to go to the temple on June 27th. This will all depend on whether or not we can get Ro baptized beforehand.

Say a prayer for us.

Hopefully we will be able to get this figured out soon.

We finally have our Stake appointment. They have been really backed up and they finally called us last night and we have an appointment tonight at 8:00!!! We should be going to the temple really soon! The only problem we might have is that the Salt Lake Temple closes for a week or two every summer so we will need to figure out dates. We will let you all know soon.

I can't wait to take my sweet babies to the temple!
